Guide Saving Formatted Text To Elsewhere

Recently, I have thought of an effective way to save formatted text from the forums to another text editor, almost guaranteed. In other words, not needing to reformat text whenever I paste it on the forums from somewhere else that does not keep it. It has saved me time for not having to recolor and re-bold words, since it's what I usually do in my main posts. I also save my text elsewhere just in case something like 9/7 or an account compromise happens. Although it may never happen, I still like to keep my text backed-up.

Is it simple? I think so. I'm going to provide a brief video tutorial or use some pictures in the explanation because direction-ing can be challenging with just words.

Spoiler: Image Tutorial

This is the "toolbar" you use when typing and editing text. You may usually use the tools on the left side, but I would like you to pay attention to the tool at the farthest right, the paper with the wrench on it.
If you hover over it, it will display "Use BB Code Editor".

Click on it, and you will see a bunch of text that may confuse you at first (assuming you have already typed something in).
As an example, I will use some of my own text.



This may look complicated, but you don't have to worry about what all of the brackets and such mean. This is text in BB Code.

This is what is shown in BB Code, above in normal text. You can somewhat make out what each thing means by looking at the two.

Instead of copying the normal text, select the BB Code, copy it, then paste it to wherever you want. You have now saved a BB Code version of your text.

If you want to paste it back onto the forums with the formatting already made, simply click on the "Use BB Code Editor" button and paste the BB Code there.

You should now see a familiar sight.

Click the "Use Rich Text Editor" button at the bottom-left corner of the text box.

If the text appears in the formatting you saved it in, you now know how to save formatted text on the forums and some others that have the BB Code option!

Disclaimer: spacing and indents may not be saved when moving the text from one text editor to another.

This method is clever. Using light theme, however, is not.

I just wish they'd updated the Dark theme to what the Light theme currently is (and maybe fix the small errors in HalloWynn, as well). I do use both themes equally, though.

Yes, I can handle the pure white and the blackest night, although I do tone the screen brightness down sometimes, but that's only when it's dark out.
