Oh... I've never thought of that I admit. I guess you can, but that'll also suck the mana from the atmosphere around on the level it can suck out the amount of mana inside the crystal. There might be damage with other people around.

There was one second in which they went for cover, before the crystal shattered— and a black smoke-like effect filled the entire room.

Everyone's views were completely obstructed — not even able to see their own bodies. It wasn't the smoke that obstructed their vision; it was the spell. The spell, which only Izanami, Dia and Roswaal recognised— was Shamak, the lowest-tier shadow magic that obstructed one's sight for a few seconds.

As the magic lost its effect, their visions immediately returned and the bright room was in sight.

Where Fanatia was standing a moment before was a slim golden-furred panther, baring its fangs and looking around in alarm. The other person in the room who managed to react was the spirit Dia— he floated in the air and had summoned an ice crystal, a small fireball, and a compressed wind bomb around him.

Roswaal stayed sitting in her chair, not seeming fazed at all. In fact, she seemed to have an amused expression, but nobody noticed. Because, on the table was——

A boy was crouching on the table in the center, right where the crystal had fallen too. He was wearing a mischievous grin—and in his hand was Alice's insignia.

 

"I wish I had my weapons right now." He thinks before he gets from under the table.

He grabs the table and tries to turn it over, putting the boy of balance.
"Hmpf."

I motion Iza to turn into a scythe and say to the boy "Who are you, and what are you doing here"

 

I'd say that this is a fine diagram.

Marcus walks to the nearest wall and repetitively taps on it.

 

(Any cover is better than none; afterall, I dont think there would be anything nearby enough for us to duck behind asides from the table)

I get into a fighting stance and look at the boy "Why of all times?" I cry

 

What does that mean...?

 

He walks to a wall.
And keeps pounding on it.

 

"Woah." The boy jumped— then with amazing agility, flipped in the air and landed on top of a chair. After frailing a bit, he came to balance on top of the backrest part of it. Carol and Diabel both had drawn their swords in an instant and now had readied their weapons from both sides. Archibaud readied the scythe too, ready to cut him off if he decides to jump over the two knights.

He didn't answer to Archibaud or Angela's questions, but only smiled happily.

"Give that insignia back, human." Dia said in a low voice, anger in his tone. "It doesn't belong to you— it's important to my contractor."

"Is that so~." The boy said, as if he didn't care at all. "That's what happens if you hand stuff to strangers. They get stolen." He snickered and flipped the insignia on his fingers. He then scanned the room. "But even so, this room sure has a lot of strong people. The Kingdom's top magic caster, the Scythe, a spirit user, two Royal Knights, a beast-human, and various others.... I can't even hope to match this much firepower,"

"Are you the one who threw the magic crystal?" Carol asked, bringing her blade closer to the boy's neck, who didn't seem intimidated at all.

"Isn't that obvious— no, that might be too mean an answer. The answer's no— the one who threw that is actually her." He pointed upwards to the ceiling.

A girl dressed in black was hanging from the ceiling, with only her feet stuck to the surface. She grinned and waved her hand.

"What are you—" Diabel started to say, but was stopped when the boy suddenly brought two knives up and deflected both knights' swords up. He then jumped high into the air.

If you're trying to make a sound, the wall is basically connected to like a rocky earth so it won't work, only quiet dull sounds. If you're trying to detect if there's something behind the walls, there isn't anything.

 

He goes to the wall near the door and does the same thing.

 

Oh um, I just saw the diagram above and understood what you're trying to do...

One of the guards move away from the door out of sight towards the direction of where Marcus is tapping at.

I conjure a spear and throw it at the boy.

 

The door opens, and one of the guard entered in silence. He looked around, then spotted Marcus next to the wall, the only standing figure in the room beside himself.

The guard slowly started approaching Marcus, without emitting a word. His hand reached into his cloak, but didn't take out whatever he held.

 

Marcus stopped tapping and put his hands in his pelts, near his daggers.
"Somethin' the matter?"
He growled in a low voice.

 

Actually you haven't. Sorry, I was actually forgetting about that. In this situation, the only people with weapons are Carol, Diabel, and Archibaud.

As the boy jumped, Dia released his three magic spells, which all shot at him in the air. Angela's wind magic, Diabel's tiny spirits, and Rathius's chair all flew at him. The boy seemed to mutter something silently, then—

Everyone in the room felt like they heard something like a glass cracking. And in the next second—

The boy landed back on the table without any wounds— All magic had disappeared mid-air, and Rathius's chair was back in its original spot. Archibaud found himself standing back where he was standing before.

Nobody understood what had happened— all attempted attacks that went to the boy had been negated. Completely.

Without wasting a second, Carol's sword flashed through the air at the boy on the table.

The guard did not answer; instead he came walking towards Marcus, past the two children who were shivering in fear. The man removed his hand from his cloak and took out a long black stick, which seemed to have spells embedded into it. He raised it high, aiming to hit Marcus.
