Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Pozel is teleported to just outside the statue room, the doors open. Inside he can see Shadow Stephanie, kneeling at the base of the statue and praying.

 

He approaches her, but leaves a fairly large distance between the two.

 

Eventually, we come across two kicked down doors, the first one labeled "Shawn" and the second "Annie".

 

Shadow Stephanie doesn't notice, continuing her prayer.

 

"We going in both, or just the one with the laptop?"

He keeps quiet, letting her finish.

 

I shrug.
"Whichever one you want to. You can see both if you wish."

 

Shadow Stephanie soon finishes her prayer, turning around to leave before looking a little surprised when she sees Pozel.

"Oh, hey." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I, uh... you okay? I didn't know what went wrong."

 

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Did you still want the cores?"

"Let's start with the laptop."

 

I head into Shawn's room, waiting for the Matriarch to follow.

 

She does, looking around at anything that looks like personal belongings.

 

"Uh, no thanks. I...I don't think we're...ready for that sort of thing yet." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"...Are you scared of the cores? I thought you wanted a blueprint for the mechs?" He asks, a bit confused.

 

Everything's covered in dust. The room consists of a desk, a swivel chair, a night stand, a dresser, and a bed, all of which are littered with various household items except for the dresser, which has a few vases, and the bed, hosting another corpse.
I go to the bed and look under it, grabbing out a laptop with a fist-sized hole through the middle.

 

"I just wanted the blueprint for the mechs to see if I could use it to improve Eve. I...I just don't want that sort of technology yet." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

The Matriarch tries to peek at the edges of the hole, looking for any wires or anything that might help her figure out how it works.

 

She can see some dark-green tiles, but that's about it.
"You want it?"
