Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guards change shift again, before a stronger looking guard comes to Pozel's cell, unlocking it and taking off his handcuffs.

"You're free to go. Everything's been sorted out." The guard says.

 

"How about both? I'm still curious."

"Can I talk to her? I didn't finish our conversation earlier."

Well... guess we'll fake it until we make it. Or something.

 

"Well, where to first?"

 

"I will ask the queen if she has time for an audience with you." The guard says, leaving.

 

Pozel nods, tail shifting back to normal.

"Where are we closest to?"

 

"Shawn's room."
I say as we arrive at the crossroads and I stop.

 

The guard eventually returns.

"You may meet the queen in the statue room. Don't waste her time." The guard says sternly.

 

"That's how most people do it."

 

"Where's the statue room?"

Then it'll probably work.

She stops when you do.
"Then we'll go there first." She shrugs.

 

"You can take an elevator to it, just read the book in one of them." The guard says.

 

"...And where would the nearest elevator be?"

 

I nod.
"This is the entrance, by the way."
I gesture to one way, showing a corpse to the side of the short hallway, a bunch of glass shuffled to the side as well, and broken metal frames that could make out two doors, were they not broken.

 

The guard points to the stairs leading out of the dungeons.

 

Pozel heads up the stairs, glancing around as he goes.

She avoids the metal frames the best she can, wary.

 

They're not in her way, so it's pretty easy to.
"Let's go."
I head down the hall opposite of the entrance.

 

She follows, particularly wary of any scrap metal on the ground.

 

There's none to be found.
Much like the last hall, this hall has doors. However, these doors are actually labeled, with people's names.

 

There's a barred door made of crystal at the top, though it opens easily. An elevator is nearby, a Shadow exiting it.

 

"Let's just try it tomorrow and talk about something else now."

 

Pozel heads in and starts paging through the book (or looking for it), soon figuring out that the dials are a code and inputting the code to the statue room once he finds it.

She returns to just following you and looking around for other little details to paint, calming down a bit.
