like, its not even half the size of wynn.
Its about as big as corkus, and knowing the way mountains are stuctured i wouldnt doubt it has very close to the same cubic area of corkus...
Maybe alot of it will be underground or something.
I just hope it doesnt stay thissmall.

As you've probably noticed from these responses, you are most definitely not the first person to find this. However, since you seem unaware of what this means, let me explain:

The current thinking by a lot of people is that this is not Dern itself but is instead the Road to Dern, which is the subject of the next major update, 1.18. The reason it's so small is because it's not actually Dern. It's been stated that what that area is will be revealed in the 1.18: Road to Dern update, an update title which probably means both "Road to Dern" as in the development to Dern has begun and also a physical "Road" that leads to Dern. This information comes from Grian's "An Update on the 1.17 Update" post.

TL;DR:
- This was found. A long time ago. Like centuries ago.
- It's not Dern, but is related. Some people think it might be a "Road to Dern" due to the remarks of some staff. That's why it isn't as big as you'd think Dern would be -- it's not Dern.
- We'll have more details in the future, when the 1.18 update is closer.
