Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"...yeah, you can say that."

 

I don't mind it, waiting for the Matriarch.

 

"I assume being a demon doesn't help with settling down." He shrugs.

She shows up a few minutes later, a bit less dye-covered than usual.
"Okay, I'm ready."

 

"Let's go, then."
I head through the portal, going to the library and the portal to the Shadow Palace.

 

She follows, staying somewhat close to you.

There's several other piles of ash and broken stuff, and an oversized robotic bee carrying railguns in the library.
"I, uh... why is that thing...?"

 

Shadow Stephanie decides to split into two of herself, each running separate directions.

 

I stop moving to observe the bee.
"I don't know... if it was a problem, Emerald should be able to take care of it."

 

The bee stops, turning for the portal to the realm of shadows.
"Perhaps I should ask Lady Idhaenna about your alignment registration. Ally seems unlikely." It says as it heads towards the portal.

Enerald links with you.
"Don't piss off the bee. Leave it alone, it leaves you alone. It's Idhaenna's assistant."

 

"I'll keep that in mind."
I respond telepathically, going to the portal to the Shadow Palace and motioning for the Matriarch to do the same.

 

The pair of Shadow Stephanies reform, before teleporting above the bee in a larger form and slapping it on the side, trying to spin it around as Shadow Stephanie attempts to close the portal.

 

Her hand just bounces off its shields.
"Oh, hi. Did you come back to respond to the query?"

Emerald links with Shadow Stephanie.
"I just got a second from repairing things again. What the hell are you doing with EBB? Leave it alone, don't piss it off, do what it says, just don't make it shoot up my damn library again!" She snaps.

Shadow Stephanie seems to distract it before it goes through itself.

The Matriarch follows you fairly closely.
"I... don't trust that thing." She whispers.

 

Shadow Stephanie tries to quickly grab onto it's shield as she falls, ignoring Emerald.

 

"Well, apparently you're not the only one."
I whisper back.

 

It's not hard, and the bee stops.
"Subject, what are you doing? Your actions are unlike any simulated scenario Lady Idhaenna put me through."

"And what are those things it's holding?" She asks.

 

Hearing this, Shadow Stephanie climbs on top of the bee, changing her size back to normal before breakdancing on it.

 

"It's a gun. It kills you, and doesn't waste any time doing it. Try your best not to be at the other end of it."
I summarize.

 

It starts playing music that belongs in a night club, albeit not very loud.
"Subject, why do you like dancing?"

"Oh, fantastic." She sighs, positioning her so you're between the gun and the bee.

 

I let her, and continue observing the bee and Shadow Stephanie.

 

Shadow Stephanie suddenly changes to a rapid river dance, moving up and down the bee.

 

Shadow Stephanie starts dancing, and the bee starts playing music.
The Matriarch's already starting to break for the portal.

It just stays there, not bothering to change the music as it reloads its other weapons.
