Why even is abandoned mines considered an entrance for Dern?

Abandoned mines is like level 25
Dern is like what... probably high level. Theres probably some bs lore reason tho :/
Arent there like... 3 entrances though?

that's like saying "rymek is near dern," which is true

beyond the 4-year old rumours and hints surrounding the abandoned mines, there's literally a blocked-off entrance there
there's more too, but i can't be bothered to find it

as for all the levelling stuff...

1. yes, but i don't see how that's relevant as im not saying "abandoned mines is part of dern." The closest area to the level 40+ province is level 55 volcano island or the level 90 avos territory. They don't need to be super close in level just because they're super close geographically
2. there's no need to explain it through "bs lore." the abandoned mines aren't dern, why would they be the same level as dern
3. no? not as far as we actually know

anyway it still seems to make no sense to put Dern next to abandoned mines

Similar to how it makes no sense for Elkurn to be close to Nessak

 

gateway island is the fantastic voyage island.

and it apparently holds a portal to dern (i believe at one point the ancients of wynn found this and dern and made a portal there)

there is literally an entrance to a part of dern inside the abandoned mines, its a discovery

but there's a difference between "it's possible" and "it's probable"
a lot of things are possible, but a whole lot less are probable

and it would somehow make more sense for it to be anywhere else? The abandoned mines being abandoned due to Dern being discovered is as good a backstory we need

the real question: IS IT DERN OR THE ROAD TO DERN? WHY DID THEY HAVE TO GIVE 1.18 SUCH A CONFUSING NAME?

 

It's not confusing when it literally has "Road" in its name.

OMG STOP! Black Area is ROAD to Dern and probably has an 3 Entrances to it (Twain Graveyard, Abandoned Mines and Mesa Desert Upper) and Entrance (If Dern is a Province) or Portal (If Dern is a Realm) to Dern itself. Probably has a 25-50 Lvl cap. Now about Dern itself. Probably has a 90-150 Lvl cap BUT if Wynncraft will not change lvl cap, Dern's lvl cap will be like 55-100.

 

Idk if this is relevant, but on top of one of the houses there is a sign reading ""Burning alive, I'm burning!! I couldn't take the power... Going to die" But all garbled.

 

There's the Light Realm, maybe there is something else? Oo

And yeah, maybe that box isn't Dern

First, Road To Dern*
Second, Mesa Desert can be second or mayde even third Entrance to Road To Dern becasue its realy close to it.
