Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Would you mind at least telling me what I said particularly pushed you over the edge before you go at it?" Rose asks, starting to take her dress off.
There's a blowgun, several darts, a dozen daggers, and forty crystals now visible as she undoes a few of the straps.

 

"Mainly the stuff about Stephanie." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Well, I'm sorry for not killing your friend." Rose sighs, slipping out of her dress, her body covered just about head to toe in scars.
"Come on, let the fun begin. If you wouldn't mind returning the flowers to one of Atavul's realms, I'd appreciate that. Takes too damn long to find a rose in that wasteland."

 

A couple of extremely strong guards grab hold of Rose.

"Sorry, sweetheart. I don't really want to make a mess." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

She winks, not even struggling.
"I appreciate the time you took to talk with me. Thanks."

 

"Consider it a blessing." Shadow Stephanie says.

The guards teleport Rose to the gates, before throwing her through them and shutting them.

 

Her dress reappears on her as normal, Rose simply using blood wings to glide into the city below.

 

Most people just ignore her, or try to look away.

 

She tours the town anyways, landing halfway through as she combs through the alleyways for lesser known points of interest.

 

Homeless bring their baskets of small rations of food closer to them as Rose walks through their alleys. Rose eventually comes upon an old looking store selling seemingly random items.

 

Rose leaves a gold coin in each basket that's pulled closer to their owner before checking to see if the store is open, curious.

 

The store seems to be open. An old man with a long white beard seems to be inside, thick glasses magnifying his eyes as he looks toward Rose.

 

She steps towards the door, unsure as she meets the man's gaze.

 

The old man smiles kindly in response.

 

Rose tries the door, stepping inside if it opens.
"Hello, sir. How are you?"

 

"I'm doing quite well, thank you." The old man says with a similarly old sounding voice.

 

Rose looks around the shop, slowly scanning everything inside.
"I suppose I stick out here, dressed the way I do."
Pause.
"This place seems a fair bit out of the way."

 

The shop has books, dresses, clothes, board games, wands, rusty blades, crysal orbs and various statues and plush toys.

"Not many come here these days." The old man says.

 

"Shame. Pardon my ignorance - I assume it's obvious I'm not from here. Is there just a tiny market for antiques and collecibles around here?"

 

The old man nods.

"Many people just want specific things from larger sellers. I used to run this shop with my dear Muriel, though once she passed...things have been a lot quieter." The old man says.
