Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"We're all capable of wiping out entire planets. Besides, I don't know her limits! I don't know your limits! I didn't know she was overdoing it until she went down!" She says, sounding offended.

"Oh? Did you finally dream of something other than Sgavrinn?"

 

"Mhmm..." Shadow Stephanie hums in disbelief.

 

"Yeah. Some kind of fox village, so I thought it might be your home. Am I correct?"

 

She sighs.
"Okay, fine. Stab me for using no force of my own against her. Stab me for keeping the floor beneath her solid. Stab me because I'm the enemy. Stab me for wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Stab me because I know you're tired of hearing me try and defend myself."

 

"In the forest on the island? Yeah, that's where I'm supposed to be."

 

"Alright." Shadow Stephanie shrugs, teleporting over to Rose and stabbing her in the left hand, her dagger piercing through.

 

Her blue blood scabs over almost instantly.
"...That's it?"

 

"Yeah, exactly. Should I worry about it?"

 

"What, you thought I'd kill you? I'd rather torture you first." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Maybe Ihra is crazy, I thought talking things out would make things less fiery." She laughs. "Whatever... don't disappoint me."

"Nah, it'll be fine."

 

"Ihra's a special brand of person you don't see anywhere else." Shadow Stephanie admits.

 

"How much longer till sunset? It's not dark yet."

 

Rose chuckles.
"She's like a child crazy enough to bring a flower to a swordfight, except she then proceeds to win."

"Eeeeh... I dunno. Ask one of the dragons." Anne shrugs.

 

"Pfft, clearly you haven't seen her around Abigail." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Around who?" Rose asks.

 

"An infinite source of fire, essentially." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I could see how that'd dampen her mood."
Pause.
"Also, no offense, if you're going to continue cutting me up, would you mind taking me outside? I sort of want to struggle or retaliate, but inside's kind of a bad place to erupt into flames."

 

"Nah." Shadow Stephanie says after a pause.

 

"Look, it's really hard to fight the instinct to defend myself. I'm doing my best here to be cordial here while I stand in front of the queen of a race known for their genocidal tendencies." Rose sighs.

 

"Cute." Shadow Stephanie comments, grinning.
