Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, she's not likely to be friends with the one who tried to kill her daughter." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

"Why are so many awake? Is it because of the cave floor?"

 

"My god, I didn't try to kill her!" Rose grunts. "...Whatever, whatever. I'll give up soon enough. Besides, I don't need to be your friends. We're theoretically enemies, after all."

Nobody can hear you in spirit form, but it might be because it's not sunset quite yet.

 

"And I theoretically don't want to make a mess here." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

"If you hate me that much, ignore my attempts to make conversation and stab me."

 

"Eh, it's more a feeling of hate mixed with friendly liking." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"What, do you not know what to make of me and my actions, or are you just hoping I leave so you can paint something blue with my blood?"

 

"Mostly the former. You're an enemy, after all." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Well, when you live in an endless bloodbath, sometimes it's nice to have a change in scenery... and this is a mighty pretty change in scenery, even if a disaster just happened."

 

"And I'm sure the hive master would appreciate me coming to his home to take a look around for 'a change in scenary'." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

"One difference; I haven't killed anyone working on your side of things. You've killed dozens of his."
Pause.
"Oh, who am I kidding, I expected to be killed at the damn gate."

 

"You've attempted to kill some of us though." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Who and when?" Rose asks. "I'll run myself through here and now if you can give me a name, a rough time when, and their relation to you."

 

"You said you were behind Stephanie's attempted murder." Shadow Stephanie says flatly.

 

Rose sighs.
"Fine. If trying to knock someone out is attempted murder, stab me. Go on."

 

"Guess I was just really tired. It's not even sunset yet."
He walks over to his body and touches his forehead.

"I can't sleep." He quietly says.

 

"What?" Shadow Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"I asked if she was dead because I was worried about her. I threw her magic into a feedback loop because I thought it would stun her, not harm her that much. I didn't realize that she was overdoing it until she collapsed."
Pause.
"And no, I don't expect you to believe me. The only thing I can say is that if I wanted her dead, I would have done more than just put her in a feedback loop."

Anne squirms closer to you.
"Maybe use some of the dirt the other dragon dug up to act as kind of a pillow?" She suggests.

 

"So you wouldn't expect that to almost kill her when she was using a lot of magic at once?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"No, it's not that. I just had a strange dream."
