Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She lingers, kneeling as she looks around at the decorations around the Shadow Palace.

Being it's a dream and thus temporary, sure...

You accidentally knock over a lazily propped up roof that seems to have been used as a shed.

You start rumbling off again, until you hear a door opening and the cart stops soon after.
"Alright. Get out, catch your breath, and we're five seconds of walking from the exit."

 

"What is a fun place to go to?"
He searches around for a bakery or a butcher maybe.

 

The interior of the throne room seems to be lined with dark red curtains either side, the two large black thrones looming ominously. The room is lined with extremely strong looking guards, covered in heavy armour. The dark tiled floor seems to be kept quite clean, and feels a little warm.

Artemis runs into the throne room and looks around momentarily, before running out again.

 

The only person to talk to is yourself, and your beast form doesn't seem to have made it into this dream.

There's no bakeries or anything really in this village - everything's fox-sized, anyways.

She runs the back of her hand over the floor, glancing at Artemis briefly before going back to look at the ceiling.

 

The floor feels like it's heated from below.

The ceiling seems to be mostly plain, though secured with tough material.

 

Rose still waits, occasionally glancing at a guard between scanning just about every little detail in the room.

 

Eventually Shadow Stephanie returns, pausing and walking over to a guard.

 

"...He went off on another one of his adventures, didn't he?" Rose asks, standing up and looking at Shadow Stephanie.

 

"He's an odd one. I can't say for certain that he has." Shadow Stephanie says, giving Rose a skeptic look.

 

Rose shrugs.
"I suppose I should introduce myself to you as well. Considering you're sick of being an afterthought from Aj's antics... I'm guessing that part of you wants to change that." She says, standing up.

 

Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

"Well, just in case you wind up knocking down my door later on... I am Rose. Think of me to Atavul as Emerald is to Xlentia. You look to be the shadow of the girl that... I haven't seen since I lashed out at her. She's not dead, is she?"

 

"She's been pretty quiet honestly, I don't know if her condition worsened or got better, but it's nice of you to confess that you did it," Shadow Stephanie says, "Personally I wouldn't. Pretty stupid move, because then you have people who want to kill you."

 

"I'm a succubus. There aren't many people who don't want to kill me. Besides, I'm technically operating against you, and you've got Alice on your side. May as well just make things easier on her."

 

"Wait a minute. Could it be that this is Anne's home?"
He gets on his knees and looks through the windows in the houses.

 

The windows, of course, are fox sized, but there's what looks to be like a giant dollhouse castle made with carefully woven blades of grass, leaves, and small branches.

 

"That's another thing. Don't reveal that you're working for someone that a lot of people hate." Shadow Stephanie says, twirling her dagger around in her hand.

 

"Look, I didn't come here looking for a fight, but if you wouldn't fight Emerald in her library, don't fight me in a land filled with recently lost souls. You're free to banish me from here, if you really hate me that much. However, if you were to fight me, you'd need to call upon Lady Eve... and if you'd be so kind as not to kill an officiant, I'm sure there are thousands of happy couples who would be appreciative." She says. "I came here to introduce myself and learn about the people behind the steel curtain of battle. I came to learn about why you fight so hard, so passionately against us... albeit you haven't made much of a name for yourself yet... I want to know the people behind the revolution. Not just for the sake of knowing my enemy, but knowing what to avoid. There are lines that should never be crossed, and if I do not know you and your friends as who you really are, I will not know what is too much and too far."

 

Shadow Stephanie just laughs.

"Wow, you really are something. You expect me to let you get to know us, and then you say it's not for the sake of finding our weaknesses to exploit? I don't know how many guys too blinded by their own erections that's worked on, but you'll have to be a bit more convincing than that to get past me." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"It's sort of obvious what your weaknesses are, you're all elemental-affinity beings. Water beats fire, if she'd ever show back up; Katie's not too fond of having a short circuit run through her, you and Aj are total fans of light, Stephanie's terribly handicapped by nullfields, and Artemis must constantly switch between life and death forms to work around fire and ruin. Also, I'm a virgin, mind you, though I do appreciate that you think I'm that attractive."
