True. I'm actually giving each character a spell color (so all of Rizkeld's spells are yellow, including magic-y effects like magic missile or shield).

 

I really liked it. Fire damage was red, poison damage was green. When a certain NPC got mad, her hair lit on fire and her text turned orange.
