Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guard summons a few papers stapled together, handing them to the succubus.

 

She doesn't even take them - she just taps the stack with a black rose and every slot is filled out appropriately.
She just looks at the palace, somehow looking directly where you are, wherever you go in the palace.

 

I try to hide myself as the guard looks through the papers.

"You'll need to pay the fee if you want entrance." The guard says.

 

You're unable to - she just stares directly at you, slowly smiling after a moment.

"And how much would that be?"

 

I stop after a moment, meeting her stare through the palace.

"Six diamond." The guard says.

 

That seems to be enough to let her link with you.
"Raising the price on me, boy?"

She summons six diamond, the coins somehow already having the same magic seal as the official currency.

 

"What are you doing here?" I ask, serious.


The guard opens the gate for the succubus.

"Cause any trouble, and I'll personally snap your neck." The guard says.

 

"Coming to speak with you. What's wrong with a little curiosity? Besides, you don't even know who I am, and I had to make a good four dozen widows just to get here! You really want to make all of those fools rest in vain?"

She turns to wink at the guard as she heads through, moving towards the throne room.

 

"What do you want to speak to me about? The wonders of having multiple partners at once?" I ask sarcastically.


The guard gives her a stern look in return, her seductive moves clearly ineffective.

 

"Please, that's only offensive because I'm a virgin. Nobody's good enough for me, anyways. Not even you, fortunately for that adorable girl of yours. I'm only here for a chat. Besides, it's not nice to kill people you just met, so I figure I should make things easier in the future when you show up at my doorstep."

She laughs.
"Oh, I might have to move here after this whole mess is over. The air is delicious here..." She says as she keeps on walking.

 

"A virgin succubus? I'd say that's like a Shadow that doesn't kill, but I've met one of those," I say, sighing, "Though it is rude to kill someone you've just met."


The guard just tuts.

 

"Hello?!"
With every step he takes he slowly looks around.

 

"Well, get to the throne room and you won't have to worry when you're at my throat later on." She says, still heading through the palace.

No response... no response... no response...

You see trees, moss, grass, falling leaves... but absolutely nobody else around.

 

"You're a virgin who's too good for everyone, unless you try to kill people another way I don't see a problem with you." I say, teleporting to the throne room.

 

She's at the doors to the throne room two minutes later, glancing at the guards.
"Is there a fee and more paperwork to go through these doors too?" She asks.

 

One of the guards disappears momentarily as the succubus feels read like a book, before they re-appear and open the huge door enough to let her through.

 

She heads through, blowing a kiss at the guard as she enters.

...then stares straight at you.
"Well, Aj, are we going to dance around with size or get straight to chit-chat?"

 

The guard's expression remains unchanged.


"We can talk." I say, sitting on my throne in my smaller form.

 

"This is strange. Is it because of the storm?"

He walks through the forest to where a village might be.
"Maybe everyone is hiding in the village?"

 

She approaches you until you're in earshot without her having to raise her voice.
"Well, I suppose I should start with my name." She says, shaking her rose bouquets a bit. "I'm Rose, and though you might not have noticed me, we've already met."

Once you get to the fox village, it's... also completely empty.
