I get back in.

 

"I think that's more a problem for them and a laughing matter for her." Ihra giggles.


A succubus in an overly adorned pure white wedding dress approaches the gates of the Shadow Palace, looking around with bouquets of roses in each hand as she glances around at the city and other places that used to be more populous.
"Is the boy you call your king around, or is he off making his life interesting?"

"The problem with that statement is that a lie can be a lie without the awareness of the teller."

"I know it's cold, of course I'm keeping the fire going. I am the fire, anyways..."

You start feeling a bit claustrophobic as you start moving in the rumbling cart.

It's another few minutes until the cart stops.
"Gonna give you a moment to not hurl. We'll be out in the open for a good five minutes' walk after this."

 

"He's due to be back soon." The guard says, unphased by the succubus' appearance. She stands out quite a lot from the backdrop of the city, however.

 

"Flaming hot." He smiles before he drifts of into dream land.

 

She doesn't seem to care.
"How soon is soon? An hour?"

Anne looks at you a bit funny as you drift off.

You wind up in a dream, and you're back on the island this time.

 

"Soon." The guard says sternly.

 

"Guess I'll be here until we hit that obscure set of criteria." She shrugs, turning to watch the city.

 

The city seems to be quite alive, houses being rebuilt and roads being fixed.

 

She just watches and waits, occasionally looking at the palace before turning back to the city.
"...What's this called, anyways? This city?"

 

"Oh, would you look at that."
He gets up and wanders around a bit.

 

The guard says something incomprehensible.

 

"Oh, one of those names. You don't really expect to deal with outsiders, do you?"

It seems just like the island normally (you're near the swamp but in the forest), but completely empty.

 

"It's a Shadow built city," The guard shrugs, "Some guardians have called it Terznio though."

 

"Terznio? Curious name."
Pause.
"Judging by your demeanor, I assume there's paperwork to fill out before I go after your king for a conversation."

 

"If you'd like a meeting, yes." The guard says, before glancing back through the gates.

 

"Where would I get those papers?" She asks, turning to the guard instead of the city.

 

The guard remains silent for a bit, before nodding and turning back to the succubus.

"I can supply them to you." The guard says, sighing.

 

"He's back, isn't he?"

 

The guard narrows his eyes.

"Yes." The guard says.

 

She rolls her eyes in response.
"Well, just means I want at those papers even sooner. Come on, I don't have all day. I assume neither does he."
