Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"She probably knows more about the mountains. Or atleast the ones on the island itself."

 

She heads there anyways, Miorah sweeping for any homeless or mourning and Gaia leaving them food baskets and flowers.

"Or about other realms."

 

A lot of the people are put into a panic, clearly not used to seeing a god fly over them.

 

"You want to marry in a different realm? Not sure if I would want that."

 

She releases a calming aroma, leaving everyone in sight a flower.

"Why not? If there's no bluff here, go somewhere there is."

 

The people are calmed down, though only through the aroma.

 

He lets out a heavy sigh.
"I guess."

 

I gladly accept his makeshift hiding spot.

 

Gaia just circles the planet, doing the same with every city and settlement regardless of resistance or reaction.

The safe is a bit cramped, but it's quiet.
"Hey, you okay? I thought you were due over in east wing a few minutes ago." A guard asks.
"Yeah, I was. The vent cover came off here, though, and half my supplies are gone. I was going to check north wing to see if she had any extras."
"Alright, I'll let them know. Maybe south wing's freed up from the turbine repair."
"Thanks."
Pause.

"...Okay, come on out. They're gone."

"If you want to stay here, that's okay."

 

It takes a long while to cover the entire planet, but she eventually manages to get it done.

 

"We'll see what Rema knows. Maybe you can convince me in the process."

 

She stops after the last person, Miorah out of breath.
"How... how many more?"
"I think that's it."

 

A helicopter flies near to Gaia, a passenger in it pointing a video camera at her.

 

"Well, this is a big world... I figure we can find something somewhere."

Miorah sighs, Gaia opting to fly into the room of the helicopter out of curiosity.
"Hi! Did you get flowers?"

 

"Yes...who...or what, are you?" The human holding the camera asks.

 

"Gaia. Who are you?" She asks happily, glancing at Miorah letting herself flop face-first into the ground.

 

"Probably. It's gonna take some time, but yes, we most likely can."

 

"Gaia? The mythological Gaia? Supposed Goddess of life and the Earth?" The human asks.

 

I step out and strecth my back.
"So, about that city."

 

"Yeah, but not yours. Don't think about it too hard." She smiles.

"Let's get you out of here, and I'll come to the shoreline come morning when I'm off shift. I'll tell you everything in secrecy then."

"If not, then we can maybe have it on a dock? We could get one built for our big day."
