Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

It seems to be a gold coin with a '5' on it.

 

I'll follow behind where the guard went.

 

"And have Raygyon visit here as well. Though I suspect not for long. She had made a comment about only being here for a week. I forgot the exact reason why."

 

"If she stays away from her allies for too long, it'd only be a matter of time before her enemy makes sure she has no route back."

She rolls her eyes.
"You drive me crazy and I love it."

The turn leads to another hallway, the guard talking with a group of four others as they point down each end of the hall, including your direction. You can't make out their conversation, though.

Spring surfaces, looking for Katie.

 

Katie's head pokes out from the large hole she has dug, sand flying out of it rhythmically.

 

"Don't want to live a boring life now, do you?"

 

Can I head down the other hallway?

 

"Who are her allies, anyways? I feel that if I'm going to be caught in a war soon I may as well know key players."

 

The other branch down this direction, or the other way down the original hall?
...You sure leaving the janitor behind was a good idea?

"That, I don't know. You'd have to ask her."
"I don't know if it'll come here sooner over later or not."

"Hehee, you're right about that." She smiles. "We should get you a fire protection charm so I don't have to not be on fire to kiss you."

Spring heads over to Katie, trying to avoid getting hit by the sand.
"Whatcha doing?"

 

"I'm digging a hole, which I'm going to get filled with water!" Katie says happily.

 

"Couldn't you just go into the water?" Spring asks, confused.

 

"Well...yes, but it's more fun this way!" Katie says happily, starting to dig a trench toward the ocean.

 

Spring pauses before going back underwater and seeing if the coin's still there.

 

I go back to the janitor's closet.

 

The coin's still shining in the sand.

 

He's going through cleaning supplies, jumping a bit once he turns around.
"A-ah, okay... I thought you ran off. There's gonna be a patrol sweeping around here soon, I'm trying to clean off a space so you can hide in the safe until it passes by."

Spring takes the coin and brings it over to Katie.
"I found this in the sand. What's it for?"

 

Katie looks up.

"Oh, that's a gold coin. It's our currency, that one's worth five." Katie explains happily.

 

"Should I leave it with your friend?" She asks, having some problems carrying it as time goes on.

 

"You mean Stephanie?" Katie asks.

 

"Yeah, her."


Miorah approaches the gates of the Shadow Palace, looking a bit tired before glancing at one of the guards on duty.
