mk question about true poly morph.
If i true poly morph into a dragon.
and then use the dragons ability to change into a humanoid and change back to myself.
would i still have my class features?

 

I'm pretty sure the answer is no.
Dragons can't cast spells. Nor can the human forms of dragons, as far as I'm sure.
You'd lose Concentration the moment you became a dragon.
As far as turning someone else into a dragon, I'm pretty sure the human forms of dragons don't get class benefits, as they are not a class of something.
(Somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

Okay, this is just downright wrong. If you bother to look at the MM, at least, one variant of dragons (which was not a variant in 3.5e) gets innate spellcasting. Besides, what's stopping a dragon from learning how to cast spells? Some sort of draconic cultural taboo?

How does becoming a dragon break concentration?

Why can't dragons have class levels? They could in 3.5. What's stopping a smart dragon (like, say, a blue one or something) from picking up a spell book and studying wizard spells?

Pretty much exactly what you said. You need to transform into an actual type of thing, most likely listed in some sort of official document. Then again, depending on what DM you have, they could change that.

He wouldn't be willing to become a dragon, but a half-dragon, on the other hand... (similarly to a draconic sorcerer, I'll put it that way. As in scales on some parts of his body, wings, and maybe lightning breath.)

To clarify the dragon question:

You do NOT loose concentration upon becoming a Dragon. If that were the case, polymorphing into ANYTHING would I i dietary end the polymorph

 

I stop, then go back to get him, and hold his hand for him to walk with me before going on.

Could i use the humaniod form and polymorph back into alth and have my class features?
