The way I see it, think of it like this.

You spend a lost of time around water, and specifically fog. You live in a space where thick wet fog is very common. Ok?
Someone sprays you with some mist. You spend enough time around fog that you have no reaction to a bit of mist. You don’t know the mist happens to be highly poisonous, but since you don’t know you don’t care. You are used to it.

Does that make a bit more sense?

And if anything, her NOT reacting to the fire should tell the group a thing or two
