Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll sprint. I'll make it as fast as I can."

 

"Well, I'm sorry if I can't see geography without the use of my eyes, elder. Either way, it's still very stunning to be in the underground when we've been told how horrid and evil it is, but with those stories being lies."

 

She glances at Ruby before heading upstairs again.

"Just go." He sighs.

"Well, most dogma is full of lies, which is why I don't usually wait for my guests to talk. They're always full of crap." Reiglynn shrugs.

 

I hide against the side to the entrance of the alleyway, readying my hammer for a swing.

 

Bardock getal on all four and heads off towards the cave.

 

Nothing else disturbs Alice.

An odd guardian with a split open head, teeth on the inside with a stalked eyeball screeches at you as it leaps out of the alley way, trying to tackle you.

 

As you enter, the dragoness is corralling her young, and she almost knocks you over as she picks up a hatchling that was running off in your direction.
"A little help here?"

She winds up falling asleep, her bedroom door locking.

 

"On it."
He helps the dragoness collect the dragonlings.
"I actually need to ask you something."

 

You pick one up, but it tries to squirm out of your grasp.
"You want us to have guests, is my guess." She sighs, scooping up another.

 

It meets the spiked end of my hammer as I try to drive it into the wall.

 

"Yep. How did you know?"
He tries to get a good grasp on the dragonling. "Stay still."

 

In the morning, there's a knock on Alice's bedroom door.

The guardian screeches, wounded. Suddenly, everything goes black in front of you for a split second. When the darkness disappears, the guardian falls to the ground in lots of small chunks, the chunks burning away into an acidic goo.

 

I back away quickly, getting my hammer out of the area.
“There’s no way there’s just one of these guys.”
I say softly.

 

Shadow Stephanie nods, crawling into the alley and up it's right wall.

 

I go into the alley and watch her go up, cautious of anything outside of the alley.

 

It moans in protest, but you find that holding it under its wings makes it struggle less.
"I smell another dragon outside."

She opens it with a stretched arm, face remaining buried in pillows.

 

Shadow Stephanie scales the wall as if it were the ground, crawling over the top and out of sight.

There's a sound of footsteps, and her face is revealed, the pillows telekinetically removed.

Artemis and Tirra stand in Alice's room, a large wooden jug in Artemis' hands.

"We made you something as a thank you for letting us stay the night." Tirra says.

 

I step a few paces back, before running and jumping up, then using as little of my jets as possible to get to the top.

 

Another one of the split-head guardians flies past you as you jump up, screeching before hitting the ground, it's head and body crumpling like a paper jam.

 

Alice gets up, moaning as she throws a dagger into an alarm clock.
"O-oh, just you guys... what's in the jug?" She asks, looking a bit groggy.
