Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You're asking me."
I tediously advance, hand on my hammer.

 

A few guardian corpses lay littered around the city, all seeming to have been burnt with acid. The city is extremely quiet, nobody around anywhere, and shops shut.

 

Alice heads outside, seeking out the bird with a shadow-cloaked dagger in hand.

Ren opts to head through the door, dropping back down.


A servant shows up a few minutes later, not to take the letter but with a question.
"Excuse me, your majesty? Is it normal that multiple objects fall into the crater in one day?"

Tuer and the dragon wait in the hole, the dragon having dug a small cave at this point.

 

I signal for Shadow Stephanie to crouch down, as I do as well, getting out my hammer.

 

"So you use this connection to understand our ways? Does it have any other ways of viewing the surface?"

 

"Not really, but it's all we need."
"I don't think anyone really understands anyone else's ways."

 

"Understand can be a strong word. We can know and we can see, but we can never really live or feel those experience. Either way, what is the main purpose of that area?"

 

Alice can see the bird in the distance, flying away.

Shadow Stephanie melts into a shadow on the ground, crawling along beside you.

 

"There they are."
He points at the dragon and Tuer.

 

Ren drops down by a couple of inches. It seems that somehow he ended up near the bottom of the crater.

"Absoloutely not." Terrae says, sealing the letter and handing it to the servant.
"On a side note, have this letter sent to [name of general]"

 

What did I get myself into?

 

I cautiously make my way forward while looking around, alert.

 

There's the sound of heavy footsteps can be heard from a nearby alley, drawing closer.

 

"It is what it sounds like."
"I brought you through it blindfolded." Reiglynn mumbles.

Ali soulscans the bird, suspicious as she gives chase.

Cole rushes over to Tuer, the two hugging.

The dragon lays down, moving his tail to make sure the two don't slide down the mountain.

He quickly moves to avoid being hit by anything else going through the door.


"Yes, your majesty. Immediately, or should I finish my other orders first?" They bow.

An exhaust pipe.

Well, the only way is forward from here, or you could try playing Ms. Nice Demon and ask for help out of the trench so you don't get stuck as a spirit.

 

"Aww. That's nice, don't you think?"

 

It's somewhat adorable. Won't argue with nice, though.

 

"Dragon, could you keep an eye out for the two while I visit the dragoness."

 

It's...just a normal bird.

 

"Yeah, but I'd rather you not take too long."

Alice considers shooting it before heading back inside.

 

Artemis seems to have fallen asleep at the table, Claire still asleep on her. The elites seem to be playing a different card game with different cards, less exchange of money this time.
