Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No, I mean, isn't going to be freaked out. She's coming here, remember?"

 

"Lady Tenebrae, I thank you for your assistance in this dire time, but... if I could trouble you for advice upon one matter, would you be willing?"

 

"Oh, right." Shadow Stephanie says, putting a hand to her face.

"And what advice would you request?" Tenebrae responds.

 

"Speaking of which, now would be a good time to set up that portal."

 

"I demanded my king absorb half of my strength while he was bleeding out on my porch. Once this disaster is over, how would I go about recuperating what I forfeit?"

 

"Right." Shadow Stephanie says, summoning four blue mage crystals and putting them in a small square on the ground.

"He would need to return what you gave him in a cut of himself as you did with him, unless you wish to attempt to absorb his own power along with your own, which I shall not condone or allow." Tenebrae says, sounding stern at the end.

 

"So, I would need to ask for it back after the aftermath? Alright... I appreciate your time. And, uh... if you don't mind me asking, has my king been able to contain the parasite?"

 

I stop, letting her do her thing.

 

"Yes." Tenebrae answers, before cutting the connection.

Shadow Stephanie touches each one, each crystal glowing before connecting with the adjacent glowing crystal with a small beam of light, a blue orb of light forming in the center.

"Alright, it's set up." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Does it work as a two-way?"

 

Alice smiles, laying on her bed relieved.

 

"Not really? I could set it up to stay open, but that creates security problems." Shadow Stephanie says.

Something slams into Alice's window.

 

"We don't have to leave it open for now, but it'd be nice if the Matriarch could get back afterwards."

 

"I'll provide her with a way of getting back to the Realm of Shadows." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

I nod.
"That works too."

 

"So, where to?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"I should push aside some of the glass at the entrance, but other than that, we're outta her."

 

Shadow Stephanie nods.

"Got it." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

I nod, then start jogging back to the entrance.

 

Shadow Stephanie stays where she is, waiting.
