Sorry, I don't know why Pepo said it affects the quality of items mobs drop, but that statement is wrong, as seen above.

 

Good to know! The question still remains; How exactly does loot bonus effect mob drops?
As in the scaling. Like the chests have diminishing returns. I'd assume there is something similar for mobs.
