Unable To Connect To Wynncraft On Windows 10 Edition?

Hi, So i recently bought the windows 10 edition of Minecraft(Microsoft/Xbox live version)
And when i try to join the wynncraft server it doesn't let me, and it just says unable to connect.


I believe i put in the correct details.
name: Wynncraft
server name: play.wynncraft.com
port(doesn't effect the connection) 19132

I've been researching for a while and the only way past it that I have found is to get the Java verion. I have an old account with Mojang but i'd have to buy the game again.

Does anyone know a way past this? Can i get a refund on my current version? can i switch between the versions? Or is there still a way i can get into the server on my version.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

 

Wynncraft (and most servers anyway) are Java edition-only, so you gotta buy a Java Minecraft account.

 

I had one before but can i download it for free or do i have to buy it again?

 

If you already own a copy of Minecraft Java Edition, simply sign into your user account and you can download the game again.
