"Good question. Although, I'm staying in one of their caves, I don't know if they are okay with more people."

 

Shadow Stephanie pauses, deciding to enter Shawn's room.

Tirra, playing the house, changes her playstyle situationally. Tirra seems to evaluate everyone else's moves before deciding on how to play, which often works in her favour. She seems to have four times the silver and twice the gold than everyone else, all stacked up in pretty towers, the larger coins on the bottom while the smaller ones are placed on top.

 

"Once we get there, why don't you go ahead of us and ask?"

Ruby smirks before glancing at Claire again.


Alice tries reaching out to you.
"You don't need to consume the rest of me, do you?"

 

Claire seems to be looking at nothing in particular, though the sound of a beating heart can be heard from her.


"Why would I want to do that? You'd cease to be." I ask.

 

Ruby decides to leave her be, still a bit creeped out.


"Sweet Tenebrae, would you shut up about that?! What's the situation looking like now?" She asks, annoyed.

 

"Extremely bad, but I'm not consuming you like some primal Shadow with a lust for power," I say, "Or like you're a Shadow that's into it."

 

"Are you not actively bleeding out of the new one some disguised monster thing ripped you?"

 

"Not actively." I say.

 

"Good enough. Though, I don't suppose you know if Ali is hanging in there?"

 

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, I know what to do."

 

"I got her evacuated, along with her faeries and Onyx. Eve's working on a way of preventing the mimics from taking over new hosts." I say.

 

"If you get me killed, I'm taking your centaur friend with me. Other than that, I'm trusting you." He says, digging a bit faster.

"How screwed is the bulk of the citizen population?"

 

"Very," I say, "About a sixth were mimics, and now they've been discovered they're trying to take over as many hosts as possible to stay alive."

 

"Reach out to Ihra, or reach out to Tenebrae. If she temporarily brings the population of actual shadows back within herself and is able to bring them back later, that should help starve out the mimics."

 

"If I try praying to Tenebrae, I'll be turned into one of those things." I say.

 

"I'll do my best, okay?"

 

"Is something wrong with her?"

"That's all any of us can ever do, and we all hope it turns out to be enough."

 

"No, but I'll be left vulnerable." I say.

 

"Then I'll do it." Alice says, letting the link drop as she kneels down, prays, and tries to link with Tenebrae.
"Mother...?"

 

Alice can't seem to reach Tenebrae, her weakness and difference in realm to hard of a barrier to overcome.
