Sorry I just haven’t really paid attention to the storyline of late. All I know is that Bob is dead, and that all of the dungeon bosses (except Theorick and Charon) have nothing to do with the story.

To answer the question in the title: The short answer is, we don't know. There was a theory on this, but I don't think anybody has any sufficient evidence to prove it.

As for the blurb you wrote in the actual OP, most of the dungeon lore was changed in the DnD update, the majority of them do have context in the lore, as follows:
    • There is enough evidence to prove that Witherhead was Bob's biological mother before she died. I don't want to bore you with the evidence, but it's there.
    • Arkadicus(I always spell that wrong, but I don't care) probably has the least amount of significance in the lore. The only thing we really know about her is she is the queen of the spiders, and is the reason why Nivla is infested with them.
    • Garoth was the third human to enter the portal(he refers himself as the second, but I'm counting Theorick, he doesn't)
    • Charon is basically the Hades/Satan of Wynncraft
    • Hashr was the emperor of the desert, long before Almuj was built
    • Theorick's lore is the most complex, so I'm not gonna describe it here.
    • Slykaar was the defender of Troms before Bob showed up, who was banished and created his own realm of slime to gain more power and retaliate against troms
    • Redbeard was a feared pirate throughout the whole ocean

Wait, what does the question in the title actually mean? Like, am I missing something or just being dumb, because the question doesn't make sense to me. I haven't played since before DnD, so I might be missing some lore or it might be from a cutscene.

Really? I don't think it's too complex. Long story short, he was a mage in the army that defended Nessak, went to the portal in the nether for some reason (forgot), was pushed in, became corrupt, froze Nessak (because ice nullifies corruption), and then locked himself in Ice Barrows. Short story shorter, he was a powerful mage that grew corrupt when investigating the portal and locked himself in ice barrows after freezing Nessak to stop corruption from spreading there.

    i had to sorry

    anyway
yes he was a TWIAN MAGE THAT DIDN'T CARE FOR THE ARMY that defended nesaak. However he needed to then teleport to the portal. He went in because he needed to stop the corruption from taking over the entire province. He wasn't pushed in, he walked in and got corrupted. Then he froze nesaak and created the ice barrows. He didn't lock himself in, he created it himself and then he yeah locked himself in

I might be thinking of a different cutscene then or something, cause I remember someone being pushed in to the portal by a skeleton.

Just because he made it doesn't make the fact that he locked himself in different.

But yeah, I got some things wrong. Did it awhile ago and didn't really pay attention to the dialog.
