On top of my head, I can only think of blaze easter egg and that melon scientist, also I'm not 100% sure but since Troms had been rebuild, the secret room with Admin's had been removed aswell.

Grian, I believe. I may be wrong but I seem to remember a builder saying they're not allowed to add any more. I think it would be cool if there were some more lore based Easter eggs, a little like the signs on Skiens island.

But as for why, I think it's something to do with lore continuity?

Yeah I've seen their reply, but it might be more people then just Grian. However if it's only Grian then I gotta say he's a big idiot; by trying to be more SERIOUS the game becomes less immersive. I don't want to play a game where I'm focusing on LORE and GAMEPLAY 24/7, I want to have a break every once in a while and have a laugh at something developers had hidden in the game.

 

Why did they remove swarms? They were sooo good :o

 

Bob's mythical weapons are overrated. Old Maple Spear, Elder Wand, Windstrom, and the shears, which I'm blanking on the name of (might have been tactical kukri?), were the real OGs.

 

Boi, the lore is still somewhat barebones compared to other RPGs. Adding lore to the game makes it more immersive, not less. It adds context to what you’re doing and can be genuinely interesting. Most importantly, it makes things not forgettable. That’s why people hate fetch quests bc they are so unimportant that they don’t add anything interesting in the game. Discoveries are optional so if you don’t care about it then you don’t have to find them.

I’m honestly fine with Easter Eggs, whether they have to do with the lore or not. But I think it’s not the end of the world that they are based more on lore, and the CT does a pretty good job at rewarding players for exploration.

Anyway, same tho. The Twain lore was a lot better and tighter before, now it’s just kinda sloppy. And don’t get me started on the Bob lore...
