"I was thinking.. maybe if we burn his body it can't regenerate."
He looks at Sloth.
"If not, then we must find out how he does it."

 

It wouldn't work.
Tyrinel studied witchfiends for some time now, and discovered that these beasts are actually not made up by miasma. They seem to become more powerful and aggressive because of the miasma, but their bodily construction is not by the Witch's magic.

Tyrinel examined the earthworm-like beast. Its body wasn't that well defended, as it was made to move around easily in the ground. If he was to cut its body deep with something...

He then noticed a small figure crouching on top of the witchfiend's head.

"Awww, come on. That's not fun, is it?"

"You traitor—!" The knight standing behind the mysterious man charged with his sword.

The blond knight flicked his hand, and the sword suddenly turned and stabbed back into the user's chest. "Ugh!?" The knight gave a pained cry, then fell back, coughing up blood from his mouth.

The man snickered and flicked his hand towards Archibaud, and the sword that had stabbed the knight flew towards the Scythe.

 

I strike the sword with my scythe trying to deflect it and then charge the traitor

 

Kayde seemed to swear. "Damn it, how bad can it get?" He ran up to Angela, while the other knights moved forward towards Bellatrix.

Angela successfully broke the chains wrapped around her and faced the knight.

"Thank you for holding this monster back before we came." Kayde said to Angela. "Did she call herself a member of the Witch's Cult?"

Angela nodded. "How did you know?"

"My friend said he smelled the smell of the Witch, and went off in search of the source. But the one he was chasing was a man...." Kayde's expression turned dark. "this might be bad.... it means that there are Cultists other than this lunatic around the town...."

He looked up at Angela. "Please— can you provide us with more info on this woman's abilities?"

'Hm. That might be a solution." Diabel grunted. But before he could chant a spell or move—

The Sin of Sloth suddenly appeared next to the knight and kicked him hard. Diabel, with amazing reflex, blocked the blow with his forearm, but his entire body was thrown away easily from the impact.

"What!?" Rathius cried— how was a single boy able to use such power? Rigel stood up and turned his face to Rathius.

 

"Ah, so that might be how it works."
He smiles at the Sin. "You safe up your energy and unleash it in an all powerfull blow, isn't it?"
He holds up his shield and readies his sword. "I can take care of that."

 

The sword is deflected by Izanami (scythe form). Archibaud shoots forward and swings the scythe———

Claaaang!!!

The black weapon was stopped inches away from the traitor's face. About a dozen daggers, with all kind of shapes and types, appeared in front of him, blocking the scythe firmly.

Archi! A voice sounded inside his head. Izanami. This man can throw projectiles. The King Candidates and the Elders—!

 

"Are you sure he can't come here help? I'd like to have every help we can get." I say looking up to the woman
I turn to look at him "She has some kind of 'contagious personality' you could put it that way. She can make you get into an incredible rage and start senselessly attacking each other" I shiver thinking on the hands of the man.
"She also controls those chains, which she can pull with amazing strength. Don't fall under her control, it's very hard to stop yourself from doing something wrong" I advert the knight

 

Rigel cocked his head. "What might you be talking about?"

He suddenly appeared next to Rathius and punched him, sending him tumbling back. But before Rathius could hit the ground, he was hit again by the Sin who appeared there again. Rathius swung his sword, and cut off the boy's head, but his body and blood disappeared altogether.

Rathius rolled on the ground, coughing up blood. Rigel was standing about ten meters away, grinning hard.

"Ur Goa!"

Five fireballs struck the boy, instantly setting him ablaze and scorching him. But—

"Sorry. Wrong answer." Rigel appeared right next to the spot where he was hit and died.

 

He crawls back up. "You cloning bastard. You're to lazy to fight for yourself, aren't you."
He stands up.
"If the real you is not going to fight me, then I'm leaving."

 

"Unfortunately no... It's highly possible that he is in combat with the Sin right now." He gritted his teeth, seeming to feel angry that he wasn't able to help his friend.

Kayde shook his head. "Alright, I think I understand." He looked at the civilians. "The people being controlled are a problem, right? There might've been a chance to cripple them all by hurting that Sin, but before we could beat her they might all run out of blood and die..."

 

I try to free izanami from the daggers by pulling the scythe the other way and run infront of the candidates making a blocking the traitors path to them and say "everybody get out I'll keep him busy"

 

"Ooh, impressive. Tying to guess my Authority. But its nothing that complicated." Rigel jumped and dodged Diabel's wind magic.

He appeared on top of a house, and he spread his arms wide. "My Authority is 'being the strongest'. I can't be killed."

"You liar...." Diabel growled. But there was doubt in his voice.

Looking at what this boy had done up until now, there was a chance what he said was true. Even though both he and Rathius didn't want to believe it....

Suddenly, the air above Diabel and Rathius started to get darker. It looked like clouds before a rain———

"Feel a tiny bit of my Authority's true power." Rigel said, and clicked his fingers.

"Oh— it's futile." The blond knight cracked hid neck.

And all around him, things started to materialise. Hundreds of weapons, be it sword, dagger, bow, mace, spear— floated around the man.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Rikuld Mammon Kavenheitos. Cardinal Sin of the Witch's Order— representing «Greed»."

 

"Thunder!" He holds up his shield and is searching for cover.
"As if. You're not the strongest. Wrath or Pride are way stronger then you! You're just watching from the sideline."

 

"I was thinking the same thing" I turn back to the Sin "I hope your friend is alright then" I tell him, trying to calm him
"My idea was trying hit her head, if we could knock her out maybe the civilians could have a chance of surviving. What do you think?" I ask him

I turn back to the candidates "Run now or you may die" I stand in a defensive stance ready to deflect any blows and trying to send the weapons back at him"

Age: 24
Abilities: He's what I like to call a 'Crystal Warden'. He can conjure an infinite amount of weapons out of tin air from his spell book and can control them with his mind (or use them as a normal weapon). The weapons are actually just crystal ice (happy?) that act, sound, and look like normal weapons. At any time, James could simply shatter his weapons and reform the ice shards into another weapon or just use the shards to stick pins in his enemies.

Can I be god now?

 

I make a rude gesture and whistle at the worm and it's rider, hoping to bait an attack. If that works, I dodge and try to climb up on its body while it's exposed.

 

“Hmm?” Rigel cocked his head. “Yeah, Pride and Wrath are probably stronger than me. So what? You won’t be able to get past me.”

No lightening came. Instead, the cloud started producing rain. However————

“Gaaah!?” Rathius cried. A raindrop had hit his left leg, and it sent a searing pain up his entire body. He saw that the raindrops were sizzling up in smoke as they hit the ground.

The ground cracked. From the fissures came pouring out lava. Rathius felt the extreme heat on his face, and he swore.

“I have to go rendezvous with my sister. Enjoy my treat in pain.”

 

So he left?

"Diabel, you okay?" He looks around for any sign of life.

 

“Getting to her is more of a problem. But that might be a problem....” Kayde groaned.

“....I’m sorry when you guys all came here to see me. But I’ve got to go soon. So can you all just... die?”

Bellatrix’s chain flung at a knight standing at the front, slashing him across the side of his abdomen and cutting his flesh.

And again Angela’s sight was filled with crimson. Every knight, every civilian except for Angela — were slashed in the same way.

Kayde, coughing up blood, fell down to the ground next to Angela.
