"Well, it didn't exist until now, so it probably is." They shrug.

You grab onto the turbine, and now you have to time your release in order to get flung at the intake pipe.
...Of course, you've been on here all of four seconds and have already spun around four times. The longer you wait, the dizzier you'll be, and the less accurate your releases will be.

 

"Why are we going up when we're supposed to go down the mountain?"

 

"It's with the rest of the mage crystal stuff, and this place has restricted access." Shadow Stephanie says.

"Well, I'm pretty sure not even fire guardians can enter the sun." I say.

 

“Right. You said it’s an important piece of history, so I figured it might be in a museum or something of the sort.”

 

"I wouldn't risk it in a museum, since it could be destroyed easily. I'd rather keep it in a personal collection." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

I nod, then go back to looking at some of the larger crystals.

 

You notice many of the larger crystals have runes etched into them, a much brighter glow leaking through the runes.

 

I just keep looking at the crystals to stall for time.

 

"Alright, I think I've got enough." Shadow Stephanie says, heading over to one of the huge crystals.

 

"Because the centaur was on a different mountain and we just got to the bottom of the valley."

"Shame, they could use the extra durability. I'm not sure how they ever expect to surpass the human stuff."

 

“Alright.”
I nod, watching her.

 

"Our realities are different. We can't forge stuff with the heat of the center of a star." I say.

Shadow Stephanie puts a hand on the crystal, and a hand on her head.

Emerald feels a telepathic connection attempt to open.

 

"Well, yeah, but you need to stop artillery somehow."


She lets it through.
"Yes?"

 

"Magic?" I say.


"Hey, do you think you could open a portal for Thirteen and I to the library? Apparently there were dangerous zones or something." Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Then you can't focus on retaliation."


"The portal already there is fine, but yeah. Mind the null zones."

 

"You have other people retaliating then." I say.


"Ah, ok. Thanks!" Shadow Stephanie says, before cutting the connection.

Shadow Stephanie turns to you.

"Emerald said my portal there should be fine, so lets go." Shadow Stephanie says, heading across the pile of mage crystals.

 

"So, right now you need a numbers advantage?"

 

"What?" I ask, confused.

 

"...Nevermind." Ruby sighs.
