Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Okay."
He gets closer to the dragon.

 

"...No, not really."

You get brushed by snow as they dig out a small room and make a wall behind them.
"Okay, that should hopefully throw them off. Onward."

 

"If that was the centaur I was looking for, I would be really annoyed."

 

"Look, if we pop up, we risk getting chased down. If we get chased down, I can't go faster than anything that flies, so you'd be stuck trying to help me dig faster."

 

"Can I do anything to help?" I ask.

 

"Alright. Maybe later then."
He lets the dragon dig.

 

"Empower me for the rest of the night? I don't think the thing left yet..."

He winds up slowing down a bit before digging down into the dirt slightly.
"Sorry, getting tired. Gonna look for remains."

 

"Well, I guess if Claire stays asleep..." I mutter, before empowering Ruby, allowing her to see the darkness as if it were day.

 

Ruby looks around for wherever the darker area was, untrusting.
"Claire?"

 

"A girl I rescued, she's only thirteen. I think she has the ability to talk to spirits." I say.

The darker area seems to have gone.

 

"Don't worry. Take your time."
He sits down.
"You're doing better than I am."

 

"That's fancy... but the thing that was after me left. You sure only shadows have glowing red eyes?"

"What do you mean?"

Getting thrown dirt at us sucks, but how is he better off than us right now?

 

"And dark faeries, and some dragons, and I guess possessed or empowered people, depending on a few factors." I say.

 

"Do they all have malleable bodies and leave darkness behind?"

 

"Not really, only Shadows and dark faeries can do that." I say.

 

"Would a dark fae be strong enough to pull me down?" Ruby asks, still worrying.

 

"I don't think so. A Shadow would though." I say.

 

"You're doing a better job then I am. That's what I ment. I'm not really doing anything."

 

"Who'd send a shadow after me, though?"

"Fair enough."

If I could let you go back to normal and not freeze, I would.

 

"There was a Shadow after you?" I ask, surprised.
