Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Are you sure?" I ask, looking concerned.

 

"Why's that. What dangerous creature has hooves?"

 

"I don't think there's anything inside me, so... yeah. I mean..."
She sighs.
"I just hate being like this, where any little scratch can take out people I don't want to hurt."

 

"Isn't a new body being made for you? I could send some of my own to help out with it's creation if you wanted." I say.

 

"Could be a deer, centaur, anything. If it's there, it's like a beacon for predators screaming 'come pounce on me,' and if that happens our tunnel collapses and we're probably next on the menu."

"Emerald's focusing on it, and it's taking a year because it was completely desecrated. It has to be made from the ground up. I appreciate the concern, though... it just sort of sucks."

 

"Isn't there some way of like, slowing down relative time so a day passes in a year for her?" I ask.

 

"She is doing that."

 

"Oh, so what if we were to add another layer?" I ask, thinking.

 

"You'd need to involve Chronos for that."

 

"Who?" I ask.

 

"Well, do you go and get that animal or do we continue digging?"

 

"God of time."

"We keep digging." They say, digging faster.

 

"Oh, right," I say, "You know, it's kind of funny how our time gods share similar names. Chronos, Chronology; Temporus, Temporal."

 

"Well, they're the gods of the same things."

 

"True," I nod, "So why did you want me?"

 

"The darkness thing? Was that you staring at me?"

 

"I just got here." I say.

 

"Want me to take a look while you keep digging?"

 

"I guess the other thing left, then." Ruby says, still a bit nervous.

"Stay close. I'm going to make it look like the tunnel ends."

 

I just look confused.

"Are you sure you're feeling alright?" I ask.
