I quite like that. What are my incantations?

 

Angela suddenly felt a sharp pain stab through her right wing, and she was stopped mid-flight. Looking back, she saw a sharp tip of a chain coming through her wing, pulling her back.

There, surrounded by the cheering crowd, was a single tall figure.

Covering themself in an oversized coat and hood, the figure had a scary appearance. Their face was wrapped with bandages, only their eyes visible. The figure had one arm raised, and from its sleeve came out a long chain, which was connected to what had stabbed into Angela's wing.

"Wooow~~! You managed to break out of my Authority on you own! What a determined mind and soul you have! What love do you hold for the world! I am truly moved!" The figure cried in a muffled voice— from their tone of voice, Angela guessed that this person was a female. The crowd around her reacted to her words with a huge cheer.

"Ah— sorry for the fighting earlier. That was me just testing out the love of the people here. You got hurt? I really am, sorry. All right?"

The chain tensed, and Angela gasped in pain. Her altitude started dropping. "Who.... are... you...? What did you do to me...!?"

The woman smiled— or at least she seemed to. "I haven't introduced myself yet, haven't I? Sorry. You've given me your love— now it is time for me to give you mine." She bowed deeply.

"My name is Bellatrix Asmodeus-Barialle. I happen to be a Cardinal Sin of the Witch's Order— representing «Lust». I hope we can be good friends, all right?"

The people walking on the street turned to Rathius, with questioning looks. The figure in black cloak cocked his head to the side, seeming unfazed.

"...Pride~?" The man—no, from his voice, probably a boy— said in a carefree tone. "You've met Arcux? Is that why you can see me~?"

Rathius lowered his sword a little, surprised. "You're not Pride? And what do you mean I can see—"

The man brought a finger up to his mouth and gestured for Rathius to be silent. "Shh. I'm not in a mood right now. Can you please forget you saw me~?"

Rathius felt himself tremble despite himself. The boy's last words had been spoken with low and ordering tone that was completely opposite of his earlier atmosphere.

 

Rathius looks confused at the man and puts away his weapon.
"Uh.. Yeah. Sure."
He bows to the man. "Excuse me. I've mistaken you for someone else."
He turns around and leaves.

 

You having compatibility with Water element relates to your ability to use healing magic. Healing magic, without spirit art, can only be done through use of water mana. You have the non-offensive Water magic. Offensive Water magic would be ice-related projectile attacks.

You can cast healing magic without incantations, however the larger the injury, more mana you use.

Tyrinel Amir

There were loud thudding on Tyrinel's door.

"Tyrinel Amir! Is this the shop of the «miasma purifier», Tyrinel Amir?" A loud voice of a man sounded from the other side of the door.

Tyrinel had been standing on the other side of the door, his staff in hand. In fact, he had known that someone with smell of magic was approaching from over a minute ago. He lowered his voice, and growled; "Who are you?"

There was a slight pose, as if the man was hesitating. "My name is Helmis Iguva, sub-commander of the Royal Knights Unit. We are in need of your assistance; on an urgent matter."

Rathius saw Kayde running towards him with about half-a-dozen Knights in tow. The brown-haired boy spotted Rathius and stopped.

"Rathius! What happened!?"

 

"I.. uh.. I made a mistake. That wasn't an associate." He scratches the back of his head.
He mumbles to himself: "I do feel like I'll see him again."

 

Oh, you forgot just like he told you to? I intended not for you, but I guess that works too xD

Kayde looked alarmed at Rathius's attitude. "You mentioned the Witch's smell. Whatever is it that you smelled, was it just an coincidence...."

"AHH!" Rathius suddenly shouted, making Kayde jump.

"What? What?" Kayde looked confused.

"—That damn cultist!" Rathius growled. His memory of the boy-in-cloak had completely disappeared after their encounter. However, whatever happened, and his memory was back again. From the boy's last words, Rathius guessed that it was probably some kind of magic casted by the boy.

If that was true— that boy was extremely dangerous. A member of the Witch Cult who had the power to alter memories. God knew what someone like him could be doing in the Capital.

Kayde and the other six knights still seemed perplexed, and were looking at Rathius for an explanation.

 

"Lust...? What are you doing to these people? They don't deserve this!" I shout at her, panting from the chain in my wing.
"Why did you come here?" I ask her, thinking if I would have a chance to reach for my bow and shoot her

 

"You seem to be in pain, dear. I'm sorry, was my chain doing that to you? I'm really sorry. I'll take it off you in a second, all right? Promise me you won't run away when I do." The chain tensed again and again, making tears well up in Angela's eyes. She nodded desperately.

"O, K!" Bellatrix cried happily, and the chain flung back to her sleeve. Angela was pulled down a bit, then the chain came off her wing.

"Now, back to the topic." The woman who named herself «Lust» clapped her hands together. "You said these people don't deserve this. Of course they do! They deserve every love that exists in this world; and that includes me too. They look happy, don't they? I love them for enjoying themselves, and in return they love me for giving them an opportunity to do so. Isn't that great? Love is important, after all!" Bellatrix ranted on, not paying any attention to Angela drawing her bow and pointing the arrow towards the lunatic's head.

 

I intended to not tell Kayde about the boy that's why I didn't say anything.

"Look, let's just go to where we need to be, I already wasted enough time."
He puts his sword back in his holder. "Let's forget about it for now."

 

I aim for the woman's head, but as I pull the string a thought comes to my mind and I loosen it a bit
"That wouldn't make me any better than her. Also she seems to be enjoying all of this, I wouldn't be surprised if wounding her would only make her happier"
"That just isn't healthy! People beating up each other in a circle of madness, that isn't love!" I shout at her

 

Is it possible to contract with a spirit that allows you to take on its shape and enhance your physical abilities?

 

Oh, alright. Sorry for that.


Kayde looked unconvinced. "Are you sure? We should at least—"

"No, I'm sure, Kayde. And to you—" Rathius faced the knights. "I'm sorry for all the ruckus. It might've been a misunderstanding."

The knights looked at each other, frowning. "I gotta used the bathroom for a second. Excuse me." Rathius turned and jogged away from the group.

Not knowing that not only Kayde was looking at him with concern, but one of the knights, a handsome blue-haired youth was watching Rathius leaving with cold eyes.

"I'm so sorry. That guy is always causing trouble...." Kayde apologised to the knights.

"But mentioning stuff about the witch and all, that's no joke. You better tell him properly to stop doing stuff like that." One of the older knights warned Kayde about Rathius. Kayde nodded. Just then—

"Huh? What's this?" He felt his chest pocket grow warm. He took out the knight medallion from the pocket and looked at it. It was blinking with orange light — there was a situation. The other knights looked at their own medallions, too.

The orange light faded, then turned to green; then to yellow, then to orange; then to red; then to dark crimson.

"———!!!"

Dark crimson-level alert. Such alert had never been given out before in whole 20 years of him being in this city. Something that could give that much threat to the Capital of the Arcuntar Kingdom was—

"....the Witch." Kayde looked up. "Rathius was right. The followers of the Witch is here!" He looked around, then realised something crucial.

One of the knights he had called, who had been quiet for the entire time, was nowhere in sight.

Rathius felt his knight medallion grow warm in alarm in his chest pocket. He gritted his teeth and fastened his pace. The guards in the town were calming the civilians and telling them about the situation. Many of the groups were already evacuating to the safety shelters built in the city.

He could still smell the faint miasma of the Witch. The trail went straight down the street———

He felt a light tap on his shoulder, and Rathius turned. A single knight was running alongside him. The youth had neat blue hair and a handsome face, and a rapier hung from his belt. Rathius recognised him from the group Kayde had called earlier.

Now, the knight was keeping up with Rathius's pace— which was, as he was part dragon, very fast.

Spirits you contract with are mostly for using spiritual arts, which is much-stronger version of standard magic. A spirit will need mana to retain a physical body, and that mana will come from the contractor's body. If you want to ask the spirit to become a physical support, it will only tire you.

However. As a spirit user, the person can cast vast spells using mana from the atmosphere. Thus, their magic is on a completely different level from magic casters. (If you want to form contracts with spirits I can help you create one.)

Bellatrix froze in place. She turned a questioning glance up at Angela. "Are you questioning my love?" She said in a calm tone, which contrasted with her earlier tone.

Angela didn't answer.

Bellatrix seemed to smile kindly. Then—

Slash! Clang! Two chains shot towards Angela in a blinding speed. They hit against Angela's bow, knocking her entire body back.

"YOU DARE QUESTION MY LOVE!? THAT IS A VIOLATION OF MY AUTHORITY! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT, PIECE OF SERAPH SHIT!!"

Bellatrix screamed. From her sleeves, more and more chains appeared, shooting at Angela in the air.

This is new for me to make completely insane characters. It is kinda fun actually. xD

 

(Oh damn.)
I try to get down at the roof of a building, getting cover and getting the bow out and aim at her, also concentrating to make a blast of El Fula to get the attention of the Sin
"You can't force people into things they don't want to do!" I yell at her from the roof

 

Rathius holds out his arm. Then suddenly he stops, making the guard run against his arm, hopefully falling to the ground.
"Why are you following me?!" He snaps at the guard. "You should be with the others."

Appearane: Avrage hight, brown eyes, long black hair in a ponytail, black cloak a bit torn on the bottom
Equipment: small dagger, scythe, long black cloak
Magic: probably shadow or something that works with the abbilities
Abilities: Speaking to the dead, body ages 5x slower then normal

Note:I want to be a gravekeeper or something like that, and im not a necromancer

Race: Can there be a race of hobbit like creatures that are basically humans but smaller, if not I'll just use human.
Appearence: height depneds on race. Other than that dark brown hair and dark green eyes, thinner arms but more muscular legs.
Backstory: also depends on race
Magic: Water mage?

 

Tyrinel considers for a moment, then sighs and unlocks the door. He mutters, "It's been many years since I was known by that title..."

 

“SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UPPPP!!!”

The lunatic flung all twenty of her chains down at the roof where Angela was hiding, breaking it apart.

Angela’s arrows flew with deadly precision at Bellatrix, but her chains flung them away.

“Ahh....Ughhhh....” Bellatrix groaned frustratedly as Angela took off into the air and evaded her chain attacks.

“Ur Fula!” Angela blew away the chains chasing after her, then spun midair and started shooting towards the cultist.

And———

Angela’s knife cut across Bellatrix’s shoulder down to her back.

I hit her! Angela thought as she rolled to break her fall. That was when she heard Bellatrix mutter calmly.

“Authority of Lust. ‘Embrace’.”
