There’s a few holy looking books, but nothing of major interest

The books seem to be on all different topics. There’s no rhyme or reason to the topics or information within thrm

 

I meant I was checking the holy books for notes...

Should I make another check for that, or use this one?

 

I was specifically searching the "dark" books.

What specifically about the dark books? Just looking through them in general or looking for something specific?

 

I want to see if the prof was doing anything with them (such as having written notes or folded pages, for instance), or if he just happened to have them in his library.

No folded pages or anything. But now that you mention it, many of the books do have inked-in notes in the margined, but they are all too faded and old to read

May I take a perception check to decipher them? If there's ink around the room then I can dip a stick in the ink and trace over the faded letters.

Nah fam, they are like REALLY old and faded. Like, you can’t even read them

It would be funny that they find a book write in Infernal and that they need to heal me.

It talks about the history, famous uses, and manufacture of a specific poison named “Midnight Tears”
