There were guards next to the ship of an emperor, supposedly with good stuff. Another party member started combat, turning the guards towards him. Caligo then stealthily sneaks up and shoves his sword up a guard's ass. Mind you, Roman-like guards. They didn't have very good pants.

 

Meanwhile, I am sitting here getting only useless NAT 20s

 

I expect low rolls for a long time from now on.

 

Do I need to remember you that I was the King of NAT 1s in the start of the campaign and that I did 3 of them in a row a day ? ;(

 

Well, I mean, at least you don't crit enemies with 1 HP.

Me: "Okay, time to attack this enemy with 1 HP."
Attack roll: NAT 20
Me: "Oh, oh, of course NOW I get a NAT 20. I can't get one when it's actually USEFUL, can I? Only when I don't even need it!"

 

Do you remember when we found Retifile, and that I used my crossbow, I did a NAT 1, so I touched Yevor, and I dealt 1 damage ?

Yevor had 1 HP. x)

 

This can get really comedic at times.

Alas is hungry and sees berries that will deal 100d100 poison damage if you eat them

Alas: "Okay, I'm going to make a history check to see if these berries are poisonous."
Roll: NAT 1
DM: "The berries are not poisonous at all. In fact, they are extremely healthy."
Alas: "Alright."

Alas eats the berries and takes 5156 poison damage.

 

I've done that on some mushrooms, but it was a success and I did some poisonous bolts with them.

 

There’s a lot of books up there, but there are definetly some darker ones. Dark lore and whatnot. Stuff about elemental evil cults. But there’s a lot of good stuff too, like Celestial books. Honestly, it looks like a mix of good and bad stuff,
