That reminds me: An NPC in the overflow campaign just critted a Giant Spider. She has a +2 DEX modifier, and shot a shortbow that normally did 1d6. She rolled two 1s for damage.

I've rolled 1s before. Just not in this campaign... For example, rolled a 1 in a Curse of Strahd campaign. Fortunately, it was DMed by Aarakocra, who doesn't like critical failures.

And there was one time in my irl campaign where I cast scorching ray and rolled two 2s and a 1. My salt was real.

 

I really want to rule that the crit does so much damage it automatically kills the dude, not just KOs him.

But what I WILL rule is injury
