im sure that all of u have experienced how easy it is to get ur ass raped by bosses and other players when u go glass as archer is already glass enough. However, many r afraid that if an archer focused on defense, it would be a broken build since the dmg will be bad, the def will not do anything atop the already destined glassy nature of archer, too slow movement speed, cant do spells etc... then u r about to be proven wrong. This build will give u full defence(150) and will give very formidable dmg(14+k bombs at critical which u have a 1/3 chance of performing whoch is a lot), and it gives positive walkspeed and a SHIT load of life steal, hp regen; mana steal, a LOT of halth, elemental defences, AND good intel for u to sling spells when ur mana charges up(melee is op as well)

The build may achieve about 2300 health regened per three second and 300 life steal. Along with the regen and defences, will make u almoat unkillable. The intel allows u to still stay afar from ur opponent minimizing hits. The minimization, health, defences and regeneration/steal will make u an EXTREME TANK . The dmg is also insane for a typical tank build!!! The walkspeed is 33% which will make u even more hard to hit. Now, take a look at all the skill pts. They r boosted like crazy. All of ur stats will be at the very least 40, which is pretty good. The skill pts will just boost ur dmg and def even further making u even more unconquerable. And finally, u will have pretty much 2100 fire def!!!!!!!!!!!! Fire mobs or bosses wont do jack shit to u!!!!!!!
All u have to do is stay medium distance from the enemy and oscillate between arrow bomb and arrow storm for massive dmg and melee whenever u need to steal mana or health(im 50 prestige in call of duty so i have no trouble aiming arrows while moving) both do great dmg
Anyways, that was my tank archer so yea... cata users better watch out

I think the amount of work you have to do to obtain this build justifies that. Plus archer still has that heavy defense penalty and the damage on this build is mediocre.

Typicall dmg by a cata build is about 16k spins if u go glass with cata u will have 4k hp :P 16k times 0.19 is 3040... u have 20k health... and if its thunder dmg it will be evem less cuz eith powders the thunder def of the build will go to 500plus. All u have to do is escape and bomb. U will hit 14k bombs which is pretty close to the cata anyways, and a few shots he will be dead

Make me a build that consistently does about 13k bombs, 2.5k melee, has 20000 health, 2000regen, 300 hp steal, 36%thorns, 60%reflection, 33%ws, 5/4 mana steal and 2000 fire def

Your arrow bomb does an average of 8k, and your crit average does 11k. Given that your dexterity is 33%, you have a low chance of getting up to the max of 14k on a crit. Your melee DPS is 3800 btw, and your average is 1800.

It’s still decent damage, it’s just not that good compared to other archer builds. It’s still a really good tank build though.

 

Yea i get that, ofc its not gonna be the best dmging build, but, all the dmg builds cough cough freedom users, their defences and other stuff r wayyyyyyyy down. Now look at this. The defences r godly! And the dmg isnt that bad! Ik ignis isnt famous for the dmg but non the less this would win a pvp against a cata or freedom user or win against a boss or smth(do not bring up qira this build is NOT meant for qira i would do zerp dmg cuz she is immune to elemental atks, ill have to makr a build just for her)

 

Oh definitely, it’s the best tank archer build I’ve seen. If it had more damage, it wouldn’t be a tank anymore. If I had 2 endgame classes and sign is, I’d use it. But idk if you can make an archer build that can solo Qira.

I mean, it's decent for what it is, but tank archer itself is just kinda weak compared to other builds. Archer naturally has poor defenses, so you're taking the least tanky class and making a tank build. This thing is mediocre in everything. Warrior/Mage out tanks it, and other DPS builds out damage it.

And not to mention its pretty hard to get, with 2 hives and a mythic.

 

i said a cata multi

with my 18k tank build (520 thunder defense) a cata multi left me at 2k hp. archer is more glassy, and this has less thunder defense as well.

 

Keep in mind i had no powders added. There r a lot of slots in my build. Also, if u rly wanna start the ignis vs cata debate, lemme tell u, cata is broken, ok? Its the definition of glass canon. Think about it this way. An assasin has to get close to u to deal dmg no matter if he has pots, invisibility, or whatever. Now theres this thing called arrow shield................ i think that statement pretty much speaks for itself, but if u STILL want to argue, that arrow shield will absolutely CRIPPLE the assasin! And u can easily escape, or recaste! The fact is the assasin, no matter how much dmg it will deal, HAS TO GET CLOSE, and the one thing an archer doesnt allow u to do is get close. Now even if u SOMEHOW made a mistake like u slipped ur mouse or whatever, u r an absolute tank, the combination of tank + range is op!!! Against cata users or not! The only thing that will be a huge problem to this build is probably qira.

What im doing is im essentially enhancing the weaknesses while maintaining the range advantage, so think of the tankyness as a back up if the enemy actually DOES hit u. The thorns, reflection, agility, r both insane. Btw the most dmg u can get out of archer is with a freedom at about 17k bombs critical. I am sacrificing only 3k dmg for a SHIT TON of defence, agility, strength, intel, dexterity, elemental defence, hp, hp regen, hp steal, mana steal, thorns, reflection, and a bit of walkspeed! In my opinion, thats worth the mere 3k sacrifice. Also, getting two hive is easy! The mythic is even easier! Im rich unlike others lol

 

I strongly agree with you. Most people do not realise that Freedom is not a rainbow weapon. Putting SP into every stat when using freedom is ineffective and a waste. Freedom should be used with neutral powders and Wisdom SP.

However to make this build even better I think you should replace the rings with Intensity for the added damage, Also it gives ok health to be tanky
