Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"With the artist, just a few, but slightly less then half are for other approvals." Shadow Stephanie says.


A young fire guardian lights his way with a small flame in his hand, exploring the darker parts of the town while keeping an eye out for anyone else.


"We will, thank you." Jennifer says, smiling, the pair taking their leave and heading to where they think the training room is.

 

"Geez, that's a lot."


Ruby keeps an eye on him from above, curious.


The giant crowd and the path cutting through them is a good sign.

Two succubi soon start heading down the clearing, the crowd eyeing them down.

 

"Not really. Usually I just chew on them to get most of the meat off of it."

 

Crystal mimics the crowd, eyeing them as well.

 

"There won't be much of that, so I'll let you eat your fill first."
The ground starts sloping up, a bit of snow thrown at your face every now and then.

 

"It wouldn't be so bad if Aj decided to pull his damn weight for once." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding annoyed.


The fire guardian heads to the edge of the town, looking over the mountainside at the moonlit horizon.


Jennifer glances at the crowd to see if they're there for her and Maria.

 

"You eat bones then?"
He shakes his face every now and then, getting the snow off.

 

"I'm surprised you don't have, like, an automated way to do it, or at least have other help.


Ruby glides over, curious before looking at the horizon from above.


They seem to be, giving them a little more room.
"Come on!"
"Hurry up!"
Complaints are drowned out by applause.

"Yeah. Hell, I've seen people up here live off dirt and snow."

The crowd breaks out into applause after a few complaints.

 

Crystal continues not saying anything, watching excitedly.

 

"That's impressive. How would you do that, I wonder?"

 

"Days ago, Geneson, one of the surface kingdoms, rose up against my own kingdom. We captured their soldiers, and they revealed that they had gained something from underground. I was sent to figure out why. And yes, the breezes do still blow, very nicely as well."

 

"Well, if I automated it, it wouldn't really be official. The royal mark of approval shows that Aj or I have read it and agree to it." Shadow Stephanie says.


The horizon is compromised of jagged mountains, the moonlight stretching across rivers and forests below the mountains.


Jennifer and Maria walk through the crowd, waving and blowing kisses with a wink.

 

They walk towards the doors, waving and charming the crowd as they go.

"I guess... it still seems tedious to me."


Ruby looks for any foliage near the guardian.


They cheer, some blowing kisses back.
As the duo gets near the doors, they open to reveal a long walkway leading to what looks like a magitech stadium.

"Huh, maybe it's not so bad up there."
"I'm sorry to hear of your trouble with the Genesions, they've been no trouble at all for us."

"I'm not sure, but they didn't last too long. A year is a good run, though."

 

Crystal keeps watching, seeing what happens beyond the doors.

 

They open into a long walkway leading to a stadium that wasn't there a minute ago.

 

"If you look at their lifespan, maybe."

 

"Well, they were on their own. Watching him wander around lost was sort of sad, but at the same time, he reminded me of why I stay here and don't try and leave."

 

Crystal tries to get a better look at the stadium.

 

The only way to do that would be to go inside, and the guards seem to be waiting for the succubi to take the lead.

 

Crystal still tries anyways from where he is, shifting to get a better perspective.
