No, there would be some effect, but not a full effect. Just like if an NPC is an enemy of the party, you can’t just persuasion check them to suddenly be a good guy.

 

Which... is pretty much what happened. Yevor sees that Caligo has a point, but is actively ignoring that.

Second attack (Extra attack): 12 + 9 = 21
Damage: 2 + 6 = 8

Unarmed Strike: 16 + 8 = 24
Damage: 6 + 5 = 11

Total damage: 27

And just to clarify, this happened before we started talking, as it is still part of my first 6-second turn.
