Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Is she always like this?" Ihra asks, uneasy.


"I'll be okay. I just have to be careful." She shrugs.

There's a discolored zone out front, everyone steering clear of it.

 

"Half the time, it's hard getting information out of her. She seems to have a relation to the spiritual though." I shrug.

The girl lets go, walking back and sitting by a gravestone, holding her heart close to her as if it were a plush toy.


"Well, I don't want you dying in my shop, alright?" Vexa says, laughing lightly.

 

I try to see through it, while also seeing if it’s familiar.

 

"Okay. Thank you."
He carefully climbs towards the hole.

 

"She's... strange. Perhaps Idhaenna would be able to get something out of her, if it came to that?"


"I don't really want to die in the first place."

You fall in, a bit more ice breaking as your face gets covered in snow.

It's unfamiliar, new, and easy to see through.

 

"I was thinking Gaia or Mortius honestly, you could give Idhaenna a try if you wanted though." I say.

The girl seems to look at something, though it's hard to tell what.


"I'd certainly miss you." Vexa says honestly.

 

I look through it to try and find a source.

 

Ihra ignores her.
"Mortius might be a bit risky."


"Thanks." Ruby sighs, smiling a bit.

It seems to be slowly fading.

 

"Yeah, hell can be a little risky." I say.

The heart in the girl's hand begins beating a bit faster.


"Don't feel too pressured to work if you're in a state where you can't." Vexa says, smiling.

 

"Brrrr.."
He shakes of some of the snow.
"Okay, we can calm down now." He thinks.

 

"As for Gaia... can she even speak with spirits?"


"Well... how much money do we have? I'll need to keep smithing to not die."

We're under a sheet of ice. I'm not calm.

"You new here?"

 

"I...don't know. I might have to ask Artemis about that." I say.

"I trust them." The girl says, nodding.


"Enough for a steady supply of materials for you to smith with." Vexa says.

 

"We'll find out soon, I guess."


"You sure? I'm talking like I need to forge four lances a day to keep myself together."

 

The girl suddenly falls to the ground, the heart she was holding mysteriously gone. I immediately get up and rush over to her, turning her over and checking if she's still breathing, and if her heart is still beating.


"I can get you eight lances a day." Vexa says.

 

I stand around for a bit, seeing if this fading continues.

 

Ihra tries to trace the item.


"That's almost a thousand ingots..."
Pause.
"...W-wait! I can forge armor now!"

It does, slowly.

 

"I'm new to this part of the island, yes."

"Atleast we can heal our wounds."

 

Ihra can't, it seems to have vanished.

The girl moans a bit, getting up.

"Are you alright?" I ask, the girl rubbing her eyes and looking at me.

"Y-Yes, I'm ok." The girl says.

Ihra notices the girl's eyes have deep blue rimmed pupils now, as opposed to simply glassy looking eyes.


"You can?" Vexa asks.

 

I wait around until it’s gone.

 

True.

"Ah, well... I'm sorry you're here, of all places. It really sucks here." They say, digging.

"...You sure?"


"I can't stop generating power in my shell body. I can get up to a hundred charges, which is enough for thin platemail."

At this rate, it'd take days.
