Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"One of the current priorities on my list is giving Xlentia her very late gift." Terrae says, pulling out a pocket watch and looking at it.

 

"Really? This is how you want to go out? Trying to stand up to some random fucking guy?"
Voidfiller moves towards the person.
"Voidfiller, this, of all things, is getting on your nerves?"
He igornes me.

 

"Let me guess, you want us to offer them shelter?"

"We'll try. Not like we enjoy getting ripped a new one."


Ihra reaches out again to see if that's where the block is coming from.

"The big dragoness?"

He holds out a raptor.
"You know what these fellows do. Do you really want to be blamed for this whole fiasco, because you're only as close as you are to killing me." He challenges, the raptor looking at Voidfiller with a confused expression.

 

"I don't think anyone does." Shadow Stephanie says.


The block seems to be all around Ihra, though it's most potent source is the mansion.

 

"Pretty much my point"
"I don't really mind..." The reforming mech utters.
"Oh, shut up, you've died twenty times."
"Got old after the fifth."


Ihra summons her tomes and takes a breath as she lands inside the mansion's courtyard.

 

"Dying ain't fun." Shadow Stephanie sighs.


The courtyard is quiet, and Ihra notices a few dead guards, some missing limbs or even their heads scattered about it. A few gardeners look like they're dead, but they seem to just be unconscious.

 

"Nah, don't want to risk it. I saw they were looking for their families."

 

"Actually-"
"Just shut up and get back in one piece."
"Okay, okay... relax. Geez."


Ihra heads up to the doors of the mansion.

"I can't guarantee their family wasn't already killed."

 

"Yeah, I thought so. I'll just.. look around the forest and see if I can find someone. Who knows."

 

"Sorry for the grim news. Most of us up here have sort of been numbed to that stuff... I'm hoping this set of children makes it."

 

Shadow Stephanie heads over and converses with the elites, making sure they're not badly harmed.


The doors look broken in, one hanging open.

 

The other mech pilots just watch them, some of them still tense.


Ihra blinks through, trying not to break it.

 

"Hey, you're just trying to survive. I get that, don't worry."
He looks a bit down.

 

The mansion is quiet, dead guards on the stairs up to the second floor, as well as scattered around.

A servant nearby seems to just be regaining consciousness.

 

Voidfiller keeps walking forwards, his face turning into one alike a grotesque monster, before I run up and grab his coat, throwing him back and onto the ground. He gets back up, clearly ticked off.
“Thirteen, don’t get in my way.”
I rush up to him and grab the front of his coat, putting my head next to his. I stop there, however, not seeming to move.

 

"No, it's not right. We shouldn't subject you to our way of life... but what can we do? We can't change everyone when we can only hold ourselves together."

"If someone was trying to not get caught, you'd fit the bill. You can morph into a blowgun, darts, a mantis armblade, and morph your fingerprints to frame anyone you wanted. How do we know you didn't just get angry and kill the king yourself?"

Ihra walks over to them.
"Hey, you alright?"

 

The servant looks up, before screaming.

"W-Who are you? Y-You're n-not with, i-it, are you?" The servant asks, terrified.

 

"What do you mean by that? You wanna help find those siblings?"

 

"Who's 'it?' And please don't scream again..." She says, rubbing her ear. "Besides, if you make noise, it'll probably swing back around here... whatever it is."

"I don't want them getting ripped apart or eaten alive."

 

"I-I don't know, I could barely see it. It just burst through the doors, a-and then the guards were all k-killed, a-and it started choking me, and I passed out." The servant says.
