although once your done with the movies you should still reread from the beginning (like including golden age arc lol) cuz they do cut quite a bit of stuff to fit into only three movies

I just watched the 2nd movie and it was all right... except for near the end. That sex scene was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever witnessed on a television.

To be clear, I know that it’s rated R and violent. And it probably has to do more with me, but I can’t stand these kind of kinky sex scenes (especially when the girl is underaged). Griffith went from one of my favorite characters to my least favorite in just one scene.

Besides that, I did like the 2nd movie. The castle siege was pretty cool, and the animation and scenery were great. Though if I had to nitpick it would be how did they dress up as soldiers right next to that general? Also I thought the sword fight between Griffith and Guts was kinda anticlimactic. He literally lost a few hairs and then basically cried.

Also should I be worried about the third film having 2 stars? The other two had nearly 5 stars on Netflix...

i mean theres a lot more going on then jsut losing a few hairs lemme tell you
for one guts screwing him over in one strike jsut goes to show how much guts had changed and grown over his time with the band of the hawk, like how the roles are reversed from when they first met, where guts is the one who defeats griffith in one blow. meanwhile griffith is all depressed cuz again, he's practically gay for guts. like you dont see it as much in the movies, but they have like a really tight relationship, and then guts just decides to leave without saying anything or giving a reason and griffith basically loses his soul mate.

ehhh honestly wasnt my favorite part out of the three cuz tbh i think it spent way to much time in the thing(no spoilers) but i mean at this point you may as well just start reading the manga lol cuz they cut a looot of stuff between like the beginning and the end of the movie
anyway low rating most likely cuz of that scene
