Elemental nods and takes the jewel. “Thank you.”

 

“So, bud, any words to explain yourself?”
I ask.

 

Elemental shrugs “what do you mean?”

 

"You have a pocket-dimension of space up there,"
I point upwards, walking towards him.
"full of creatures of all different kinds, and you're wondering what I want an explanation for?"

 

Professor Elemental: “Well, it’s attic space. Various... things... make their home there.”

 

"Various things? I suppose then, that things that just disappear off of someone's neck makes their home in a random box, which you know about."

 

The professor nods

 

Yevor: "So, let me get this straight: His necklace somehow appeared in a box, deep inside your attic, and guarded by all sorts of deadly monsters?"
Yevor: "And we're supposed to see you as completely innocent in this?"

 

“I asking, how would you know this? How would you know that Ti’Lin’s necklace was taken?”

 

The professor taps his nose. “Bingo”

Professor: “Don’t tell me you don’t know what magic is...”

 

"I know what magic is, and I also know that, unless you're a prophet, having omniscience means that you could've probably taken care of this yourself."

 

Yevor: "I disagree with your assessment of the situation."

 

OOC: Are you trying to frustrate Caligo into killing him?

 

Caligo is already frustrated, and already has his mind set on killing him.

 

Nope. The professor is just mildly insane.

The professor shrugs. “Everything turned out ok though, right?”

 

Yevor: "I should've kept the gem, after what we went through..."

 

"Yeah."
I say, getting closer to him. About 5 feet, in fact.
"Everything's fine. Everything's just fine."
I don't say this with a particular harshness, but it's pretty easy to see that I don't mean it.
"Say, what's that stone do, anyways?"
I quickly try changing the subject.

 

Prof: “Ah, nothing really. Just an old item I lost a while ago that has sentimental value.”

 

"Huh. Could've sworn it seemed magical."
If it's still in his hand, I look at it.
