Dern and Fruma might have the Same relationship as Wynn And Gavel except Fruma is much more reclusive to the rest of the world is because it might be having a war with Dern or maybe some sort of an Allience with Dern and are trying not to let Darkness and Light touch in Fruma. That'll create a corruption outbreak the Frumans might not be prepared for. This also might explain why Fruma closed it's door to Wynn when the corruption broke out and that we only see things in Fruma go out like the Corkians, Players, and that juicy Fruma Imported Armour. So in a nutshell Fruma might just be trying to protect itself from Corruption because even though they have a Dark province right next to them, It's probably better than corruption. Thank you for listening, tell me if this has any flaws. It might be completely wrong and be completely disbunked later on but it was fun making this.

 

Interesting theory, maybe even Fruma is sending out soldiers to try and stop the corruption and regain peace, so Fruma can open its doors again.

 

This... isn't really a theory. This kind of just seems to be some loose ideas and some already known facts thrown together in a thread with no direction.

Also in the Fruma gates they recently built a port. Why would Fruma build a port if this idea is true? Wouldn't that inevitably lead to an encounter with the corruption? But here's the thing, it might be possible that the port isn't for trading, it might be for further protecting itself against the corruption. Pushing it's power out to sea as another layer of defense against the corruption. But what do think?

Firstly, considering the llevigar library has excessive info on Fruma, but not Dern, this kind of has a gap. If they are so close with Fruma, the Dern info should be just as available. And why bother keeping it a secret?

Oh, also, there’s legit no evidence to support this. You have an idea, not no reasons as to why it could be correct, given in game evidence. If you want to make an arrgument, you need to support it

Also not neccesarily. Dern is obviously a land of darkness and shit, info on a dark place full of presumably dangerous things, there would be less people who would really go in, however a populated area would have more info on it

 

Fair point. But if even obtaining info on the place is hard, how could Fruma be close enough with them to have a full our alliance or whatever?

 

Well the llevigar library did have information on Dern by that fact that the book even exists, but i'm not here to make an argument, i'm here to make an idea that can possbily tie some loose ends, but i doubt that'll happen.
