Thanos Big Tunnel

(Don't ask what the title is. It was relevant, ok.)

Right, I haven't played for a while, but I remember in the main room of a Thanos (where the King was, iirc) there was a huge tunnel, possibly going West (the direction isn't really important as far as i can imagine, and is proabably wrong). However, at least, when I was in Thanos (so within about 5 levels of the suggested level) I couldn't go anywhere with it. There are/were coal blocks at the end. Does anyone know a) if this is still here, b) if it had any use before the update, and c) if it has any use now.

I think he means that tunnle, there's probably nothing at the end.
