Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'll try my best." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

She swallows a mouthful of water whole, sputtering afterwards.

"If it starts looking bad, I'm sending your throne partner some motivation. Good luck."

 

He continues to choke her with water while she’s coughing.

 

"Thanks." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

She keeps sputtering, slowly weakening until she slumps over.

...The pill doesn't seem to have come out.

The army finally gets to her, a few other mechsuits running by.

 

Voidfiller goes over to the woman, making part of himself smaller, before inspecting under her tongue.

 

The pill isn't there, either.

 

Shadow Stephanie teleports onto one of the mechsuits, holding on weightlessly while trying to remain out of direct sight of it's controller.

 

Voidfiller doesn’t seem all too shocked, opting to portal in some soap and a brush, cleaning the inside of her mouth.

 

It doesn't seem to care.
"Don't you have an army to command?" The pilot asks.

Her mouth starts foaming and the flesh around it melting...
It was something acidic, and she's already dead from drowning anyways, it seems.

 

Voidfiller takes the brush and soap out, once again, not surprised.

 

He's now left with a corpse in a labcoat, and about twenty witnesses.

 

He lets the ground spit her back out, removing and inspecting her coat.

 

"Commanded, and under control of the elites. I'm here to feed my sharp tooth, if you catch my drift." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

It's a fairly dirty labcoat, now soaked. The only thing it holds is a picture of the woman with two children.

"Didn't the queen tell us to do something?"
"Yeah, start screaming murder."
"That helps how?"
"What's a murder?"
"Shut up, it sounds fun. MURDER!"
"MURDER!"
"MURDER!" A bunch of raptors start shouting, running off in just about every direction screaming "MURDER" as loud as they can.

"In that case, one trip to the front lines coming up."
It's harder to grip the mechsuit in the spirit plane, but Shadow Stephanie's able to figure it out fast enough to get to the front lines... and the vacuum of space. Good thing she's a shadow.

 

Voidfiller doesn’t mind the raptors, checking if he’s ever seen the children before.

 

He recognizes neither.


A minute or so later, you can hear a bunch of raptors screaming "MURDER" as they dart about the respite.

 

He carelessly tosses the coat on top of her, along with the picture.

I land near one of them.
“What’s going on?”

 

"Some weird colorful thing killed some lady. The queen told us if we saw murder, then start screaming murder, and I dunno what a murder is but it was fun running around watching everyone freak out."

 

“Where’d this happen?”
I ask quickly.
