"It will if he doesn't get back. Do you have any idea when they'll be back here?"

 

"Shadow Stephanie will definitely return, but I'm not sure if Aj will." Tirra says.

 

Ihra hesitates.
"I hope Aj comes back..."

 

"I hope so too." Aqui says, sounding a little worried.

 

Ihra waits quietly, concerned.

 

A while later, a portal opens above the dark crystal Shadow Stephanie placed before she left, Shadow Stephanie walking through; the portal closing swiftly after.

 

Ihra turns.
"Where is he?" She asks, worried.

 

"Being irritable." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding annoyed.

 

"Well... better than dead." Ihra sighs. "You're still with us, right?"

 

"Yeah, I need to command this army anyway." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Terrae calls for Ren as he levitates the crate towards and through the portal.

 

"True... how much time do we have?"

He looks confused, just going through the portal with the crate.

 

"Couple of hours I think, at the most." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Yeah, see, I know you have a taser.”
Voidfiller says, trying to get a better look at what she’s digging up.
“So going down next to you would be a bad idea.”

 

"I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you two to one another. Didn't want to the whole 'dragon eats fox' thing to happen."

 

"Such is the ways of the divide between our people. It really is a shame."

I stay quiet for the rest of the walk

 

"Uh... okay. Any reason this place looks like a hive?"
"Because it sort of is." Idhaenna comments.
"But... this is a palace, not a hive."
"It sort of spread here."

You wind up stopping in a candlelit throne room, Erevne sitting down on it.
"Whew... today was a good day. Long, but good."

"Good point."
"I probably would've kept hiding from you until he did."
"...Also smart."

She tosses the taser aside.
"Okay then, get down here while I don't have the taser."

 

"I was considering exploring this place looking for some kind of gold nugget of honeycomb." Shadow Stephanie admits.

 

"Other things. Is there anything to do in this cave besides taking care of the dragonlings?"

 

"Technically this is the overflow where the three queens learn how to make their robots capable of interactions with other people. There's an entire planet that's actually a hive, and I'd let you see it if I didn't need you here."

"If you figure something out, let me know. I still can't figure out what else to do around here, and I've been with these crazy bundles of scales and scratches for a year."
