Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The antbot scans the group for anyone that seems less satisfied with the ordered food.

 

Everyone seems happy with it, including the elites.

 

"She said those can test for something something blood."
"Do you ever listen to her?"
"Not really."

 

I close the briefcase.
“Any idea where she went?”

 

The ant glances around a bit before smiling and heading off the way it came.

"Nope."
"The Ruin, but that doesn't help much."
"We tend to get tased if we question her."

 

The Shadows continue to play their card games until the food arrives.

 

I nod.
“Everybody in here is dismissed. Keep an eye out for her.”
I say to them, before walking over to Voidfiller and whispering with him.

 

Forty antbots carry four platters of food each, ten with glasses of water.
"Order status, delivered. Any further requests?"

 

"Not right now." A Shadow says, as eight Shadows surround the platters to share out the food. Tirra telekinetically lifts and takes some food for herself and the elites.

 

"I'll send her your way if I see her."

The antbot nods, leaving again.

 

I turn and nod, then Voidfiller sends the two of us through a portal, leading to above the castle where we watch from above, seeing if the woman is anywhere around.

 

Once the food is sorted between the Shadows, they all begin eating, leaving no food behind.

 

Not from the top, it seems. Then again, the forest blocks your view from here.

A few smaller bugbots come and take the empty plates away, one of them seeming to be the beetle Aeris inspected as it keeps a fair distance from her.

 

Aeris doesn't notice, quietly eating her food.

 

She's approached by a larger beetlebot, this one seeming only partially robotic.
"Why did you try to take my child?"

 

"H-Huh?" Aeris asks, nervous.

 

"LLC-14, please come here."
The same small beetlebot nervously skitters up towards Aeris.
"Why did you pull my child to the ground mid-flight?"

 

"U-Uhm...A-Ah..." Aeris says nervously, backing up before sprinting and taking flight.

 

The beetlebot seems annoyed, but turns to Tirra.
"Pardon me, guest, but do you know why the winged guest took my child from me briefly?"

 

"She was probably just curious about it." Tirra says.
