Idhaenna laughs, nodding.
"Well, I actually wanted to have Nod wait here for you to show you the map of my palace. What you may struggle with is the phys-soul transitions. Some parts of the palace are for physical bodies only, some for spirits only, and others a mix. Nod, can you pull up that map?"
"I feel like you named me as such as a joke, milady. Loading projection..."
The room the group is in is at the center of what looks like a bit of a snail shell. The zone is colored blue, while some are orange and others purple.

She hops on your shoulder, smacking you with her tail.
"Sorry."

 

"Damn it Aj, Why'd you have to run off when I need you." Shadow Stephanie mutters under her breath as she examines the map.

 

"I could reach out to Emerald to corral him back." Idhaenna offers.
Each blue section is separated from orange sections with purple sections.
"Purple is spirit only, orange is physical only. The vents and my chambers are suitable for both, and the entire thing is set up in three sections. Each section looks the same, however, thus there's only one map."

 

“Right.”
I look towards the others’ papers. How many of their thumbs or index fingers flat?

 

"I doubt he would without some major incentive or threat." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Three people have flat thumbs, five with flat fingers. One has both (only six other people).

"Ihra works wonders... or I could have Emerald just put him in stasis and carry him here."

 

"That'd just piss him off more." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I never said he'd like it. If you can reach out to him and get him here, that'd probably help."

 

"He's probably in one of his irritable moods. I'll try asking Artemis to calm him down though." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"How about a bit more potent version of Spectre's Blood? I can get the crap out of his system once he's here... of course, your way is better."

 

I go back to the prints on the dart, using the blacklight to look at them. Is the flat print larger or the regular fingerprint?

 

The flat print is larger, much larger.

 

"That'll just make him madder because he was pissed out of his mind and suddenly he's sober." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Again, your way is better. Good luck."
"My scans suggest you have approximately four hours and thirty eight minutes to get him back in time for the start of the seige."

 

Still the size of a human thumb?

 

Yes.

 

"Oh, really? That seems like an awful lot of time, unless time works differently here." Shadow Stephanie says, putting down a black crystal.

 

"That is the time until the shield generators overload, unless they malfunction or are turned off early." Nod says, back to having its vision locked onto Shadow Stephanie.

 

"Well, I'll try to be quick." Shadow Stephanie says, opening a portal to the Realm of Shadows and hopping through before it closes; already closing once it fully opens.

 

Nod just watches, a little bit curious.
