That would be both of them as they group together, both milling the grain to flour.

A few people get a bit nervous as they watch you, but everyone seems to be a bit on edge.

"No need to be embarrased, miss. Guests are welcome everywhere."

 

Aeris doesn't respond, her embarrassment not changing.

 

Nod seems confused, but keeps leading the group through the vents.

 

Voidfiller continues watching, making sure they don’t take too much.

I don’t mind the looks, looking on the papers for people’s names, making sure that people wrote them.

 

The group keeps following, no Shadows left behind.

 

They don't take anything else, one leaving the berries with the other to retrieve firewood.

Each paper does have a name, yes.

It's a bit bright for comfort, but not too bad.
Eventually, Nod opens another vent, Idhaenna standing in wait on the other side.
"...Did you forget two people?"

 

"Hm?" I ask, glancing behind.

 

"I believe two of your members are on the other side of this wall."

 

"Whom?" I ask.

 

"Mortimer and Tirra, unless they caught up... or took the normal route."

 

"We're here!" Tirra shouts from the crowd of Shadows.

 

"My apologies, in that case." Idhaenna says, walking on as Nod keeps watching you.

 

Voidfiller, satisfied, portals back to the king’s room, as I take the fingerprint from the dart, seeing if it stands out as matching up with any of the index finger entries.

 

The group exits the vent system, following Idhaenna.

Aqui starts playing about with a sphere of water in her hands.

 

None yet, it seems.

Nod quickly flies away from the bubble, still watching you as it hovers above the group as they go.

"So... I take it you're the ones who slipped Gaia from the Hive Master's grasp?"

 

"Indeed, but our most potent member in that battle is being taken care of by her goddess mother. I doubt she'll let her go until she's fully certain she's healed." Shadow Stephanie says.

"To be fair, Stephanie exerted a ton of power. I'm pretty sure it's because she's a demigod she didn't kill herself from negative magic." I say.

 

"Heh, what did you try to do, out-mind-control someone as crazy as Atavul?"

 

"Who's that?" I ask.

 

I walk away from the table and inspect the other dart with the blacklight.

 

"High god of fire, war, and rebirth. Giant phoenix, super irritable."
