Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She waits a few seconds before handing it off to one of her partners and heading towards the farm.

"True... which reminds me, thanks for reminding them not to eat me."

 

"Siln already had it covered. You should thank him."

 

I start talking to Voidfiller, who is very quick to show up, portalling in next to the king in a trench coat, while also carrying a box.

 

"I will, once we get back there of course."

The man just stands there holding the tape, looking a bit confused.

 

*sigh*
"This whole event really happens at an unconvenient time, doesn't it?"

 

"I don't think there's ever a convenient time for something like this."

 

"Hey."
Voidfiller nods to the man, taking the tape.
"I presume you've got everything?"
"Right here."
Voidfiller taps the box.
"You put gloves in a box, too?"
"Oh, no, those are here."
He pulls out two pairs of latex gloves, tossing one pair to me, who puts them on.

 

I'll give it a shot anyways.

 

"I see. You're reign seems like one without much trouble indeed."

 

The faeries seem content, no longer in pain.


I open a portal back to the void palace, leading my group through.

 

"We haven't been able to plan anything yet. We still need to get our clothes and we need to search for a good place to keep our wedding."

 

Everyone waits, watching silently.

"Yeah... assuming that our friends last that long. I really hope nothing happens to any of them."

"No, there's plenty of trouble. There are some surface zealots who are bent on causing havoc down here... admittedly I feel guilty, as I made the call to destroy the kingdom where those zealots came from. Fortunately, it's been calm since, but many people down here have lost touch with their family members on the surface. There's just no good way to carry messages across nowadays."

You'd have to wade out in the frigid waters, unless you were to reinforce the dock.

"Do you have ways to contact other parts of the palace?"


Gaia watches you go back through before burying her face again.

 

"Not really, apart from flying to people." Mish says.


One of the cloaked Shadows stops for a moment, turning around and looking at Gaia before hurrying through the portal.

 

I start brushing the print more, then continue to work on it, Voidfiller crouched by my side.

 

"I didn't know people had contact with the underground on the surface. Every single citizen of Baradin has been banned for communing with the underground, so I was unaware to action elsewhere."

 

"The island has a protective barrier around it. They should be save."

 

Terrae concentrates for a moment, before opening a portal to the area that Ren described.

 

"Can you ask one of the guards if the shadow smiths have a moment to come here?"


"Move, demon." She murmurs. "Let me mourn."

He's cloaked, sitting on a cloaked box.

"It does? The more you know, I guess."

"Interactions were banned on the surface after I ordered the destruction of one of the kingdoms. I've never been given a chance to make amends since."

The fingerprints get only slightly more clear.

 

I remove the powder with the tape, while Voidfiller looks towards the people.

 

They're all milling about, watching curiously.
