    Actually no, it wasn't. The mobs were never supposed to drop loot, which is why grinding them for items was still considered bug exploiting. An extra clarification rule was added after the popularization of Amadel grinding, since players who were banned for abusing the system went mad over it.

    I don't recall it being mentioned in the changelog, but it was a while ago that i read it and not so much the bug fixes.
